I didn't like trump at all prior to all this election fraud crap but my level of respect for him went drastically lower... and it wasn't even really there to begin with. 

 

 

On a much happier note, I started crying during the inauguration because I realized that my 22 month old daughter will never remember a world in which a women hadn't ever been elected to the White House. What a thought huh?

This is what I loved, too.  I was a little afraid he'd shy away from calling out the horrific actions he was elected to right and be too kumbaya but he was brilliant.  He called that stuff out, and still sold hope and optomism and that is a fine line to walk.  

Jill looks so beautiful and she's beaming behind her mask.  I love the light teal and matching gloves and mask.

I've been crying from when Kamala walked out onward...? happy tears of course.

You are absolutely right, El Cheeto boycotting the ceremony is like my 3yo son throwing around his toy bike because I tell him it's time to stop playing and come inside for dinner.

Except afterwards, my son knows he is not behaving properly, looks at me, says "Mama, I be nice", picks up his bike, gives me a kiss and comes in.

HA Steny Hoyer making a joke about Jill Biden being an accomplished doctor and Joe laughed because he's not threatened by being married to an accomplished, intellegent, woman.  He likes it, he's proud of her.

Joe Biden held the car door open for his wife and helped her in the vehicle before getting in the car himself.

Basic moves seem like a big deal in the beginning of his presidency.

I remember trump pretty much left Melania to her own devices after his inauguration

Yeah, the ass exited the limo and walked up the steps full of self importance, leaving Milania behind.  She looked embarrassed and the Obama's were obviously shocked, so they went to Miliania and escorted her in themselves.  I actually felt sorry for M at the time, but my empathy has dramatically lessened since then.

NBC just said that the President and the living former presidents, minus Jimmy Carter, are heading to Arlington.

I really hope this habit of just leaving Trump out of all mentions of former presidents continues.

I have been watching NBC and they have gone out of their way not to say Trumps’s name. They have used “predecessor,” “who was in the office before,” etc. I approve!
