Someone on the last thread noted that they updated the About section, and the unmarrieds are now above the marrieds.

I noticed they didn't update any of the pictures besides the group family one and Steve and Teri's. The pics for the unmarrieds were all taken one kid ago. I know they have more recent pics of each of the families with their new babies. Some taken pretty recently. Why go to the trouble of updating that page and not updating those pictures?

My favorite adaptation of Emma is the 2009. I thought it was cast well overall and I liked how it was done in 4 parts so there wasn’t a lot left out because of time constraints.

My biggest problem with the 1996 Emma is Gwenyth Paltrow. I just don’t like her Emma much. But I liked a lot of the supporting cast. I adore Alan Cumming as Mr Elton. He’s perfect. He’s so good at playing a smug little shit.

I think I will enjoy this new Emma, but it won’t be my overall favorite. I predict it will be like Pride and Prejudice. The 1995 version will always be my all time favorite. However the Kiera Knightly version is just so gorgeous that I really enjoy it. I love the visuals and the music so much. I have a feeling that’s how this new Emma will be for me.

About the Maxwell's trip to Varalberg in Austria this summer, that province (state?) is 78% Roman Catholic, 8.4% Muslim and only 2.2 % Protestant.  That might give some of them the vapors being surrounded by all those ebil Catholics and Muslims.

Update about the week with Anna and Christopher’s kids. Sarah SEVERELY overuses the word sweet. And I feel really badly for Reversal Anna and Mary. They have to realize that they are getting further and further away from a future with children right? They seem just aglow taking care of the kids, and they will likely never have their own. It’s very sad.

Mary has a mini Ted talk, as they call it in the about me section of the blog. This is proof of her love for the unborn

It’s hard to take her serious when she has no life experience.

I just went to read their updated About section, and clicked on the link for their church.

It's blocked by our server (I'm at work).

All churches are not blocked - I hit up the websites for the mega-churches when we were having that discussion a few weeks back.

Wonder what it is about the Maxwell church that set off our filters?

I find it interesting.

I hope no one in Austria wears contrasting buttons. Or tight dirndls.

I wonder if the Maxwells will vote for Trump in November since he obviously has a heart for the unborn ?

I’m finding this so interesting that they are coming to Europe!

When they did their conferences, they were invited, rather than seeking locations. Someone please correct me if I’m wrong. I also remember a commenter (I think) saying that they wished the family would come and lead conferences in Australia and another said Europe. I really clearly remember Steve stating that they were praying for an opportunity to come up in Australia but that they didn’t think they would ever go to Europe.

Europe and America are chalk and cheese. Heck, European countries are so different to each other. I think this will be amazing for the “kids” yet such a culture shock. I just hope they are not going in blindfolded so to speak. I hope they actually take in some sights and visit places and do some stereotypical Austrian things. Austria is beautiful. I love their markets, the Christmas markets are wonderful. Go and have some true Austrian food (who am I kidding here?)

of course I’m sure what we will here is how “lost” socialist Europeans are and I’m sure all they’ll see is the airport and the church.....

I would also guess - Some if you lovely Americans will be able to help with this - I would  have thought they would have to use connecting flights and change in London or Dublin possibly? I wonder if they would hang around to see those places....

Interesting that she uses emotional pleas as her reason against abortion. And the Holocaust, of course ? :5624797b0697e_headbash:

I also want to come clean and say it’s taken till now to realize this is still a vest themed thread title. :embarrassed:?

They did do some sight seeing when they did their conferences in the U.S., so I assume  they would do the same in Europe.

That is the very antithesis of the spirit of TED talks. Unless they think TED stands for Theology, Evangelism, Dogma.

On their updated About section again - - Sarah, Anna & Mary "work" for their brother's businesses. They do not work for anyone in the general public. They do not go to work anywhere. They do what they are allowed within the confines of their homes and their fathers ego.

Yet, their About sections talk of them working for "small businesses" and the like.

Even the Maxwells know they suck - they can't even be honest about what their trapped at home daughter's without purpose do every day. They have to hide reality to convince people what they're doing is working.

Does Jesus like liars?

I wouldn't put it past Steve to lie, but do we know they aren't legit working for their brother's businesses?

I've worked for a lot of family businesses and it's not unheard of - even with super flexible "schedules" so they can split and go take care of a sibling's kids or whatever.

Anna is just another asshole using the Holocaust to argue against abortion.  I lasted about that long (Greta, a German Jew in 30s Germany) before I hit the pause button on that screed.

Anna is "Annie" - the Help Desk for Nathan's company.

Even if they are legitimately working for their brothers - it's not like they had to get an education, go out and interview and compete for a job. They were available, their brothers had needs & trained them - voila - employment & cheap help

It's deceiving not saying they are working for their brother's companies.

Yes, that "Annie" thing bothered me as they made her sound like some assistant Nathan went out and hired.  Especially calling her Annie, while she is referred to as Anna throughout their personal blog.  And not using her last name.

Same with saying the sisters work for "small businesses".  While it's not a lie, it makes it sound like they went out and got hired somewhere due to that great education they got from Teri.  Maybe they're good at what they do for their brothers, maybe they're awful, but who would ever know for sure?  It would be more honest if they said the sisters work in the family businesses.

It would definitely look better if they were upfront about who exactly they were working for. Working for family businesses is entirely normal, no-one is going to judge them. It’s still experience of sorts, even if they didn’t go through the same sort of application process external/non-family applicants would have gone through.

I don't suppose I am allowed to educate the Maxwell's about the logical fallacy called reductio ad Hitlerum.  Yes, it really exists.  Reductio ad Hitlerum is an ad hominem that is meant to derail any conversation in favour of the desired (poorly argued) point by using an extreme example of evil/suffering/etc.

Sorry.  These are clear attempts to manipulate the truth; aka lying.

Just had my anatomy scan today. Would it be awful if we revealed the sex of number 2 At silly girl's first birthday party? We have the envelope, I just don't know If we want to open it before or during her party or give it to my sister in law to bake the color into her cake? I don't want to feel like I'm taking attention off of her

Guess I should update again? Frieda (Kiki, we renamed her) is here since the end of February 2021. She came with a bunch of problems, but is the best dog ever and is doing better every day. But we do now know how a dog with ptsd looks like. For real, not joking. If she is triggered during the day, she wakes up screaming at night. Not like dogs dream, but literally screaming. Other than that she went with us on countless trips, loves hiking and even cable cars. She is one heck of a fearless dog in situations who do not remind her of her old life.
My Grandpa passed away last May and I'm still grieving a lot. After sharing a house with my grandparents for over 30 years it is just horrible to lose one of them. Even though it was his decision and he got to go like he wanted. At home, in his bed during the night without doctors. He would have need more care and he did not want more care. So after turning 90 he decided to let go and became weaker and weaker.
In other news my dad stops working for good on April 1st. Retirement time. Keep my Mum and myself in your prayers. We really do not want him at home all the time. Haha!

Well, this is weird. At some point, recently, I broke my wrist. I had to get a Dexa-scan today (put it off for years) and along with some bone loss, damn I had it a few minutes ago… the results said, “Fracture risk is moderate, and the patient has a significant wrist fracture. Treatment is advised.”  my left wrist aches a little but not near as much as my back, feet, knees or fingers, damn RA. I have no idea how it happened. I haven’t fallen in 2 years, haven’t banged or bumped…  the dr will call tomorrow and we’ll get  this straightened out.
