Maybe these people are looking in the wrong place - I see lots of acceptance and support here of people doing what works for them. I frequently encounter opinions and experiences that are different from my own, and I'm often challenged about my assumptions and snap judgements. I see people here who are diverse and interesting, who care about others and the world around them. Maybe Lori and her ilk could learn something from hanging out here for a while!

Impossible. We're godless heathen feminists. We have to be sad and alone and depressed with empty lives. No woman can be happy or a good example when also identifying as feminist.

Sarcasm aside, I totally agree. My 12 years of FJ have changed me for the better, and done exactly what you said - challenged me to think about what I believe and why. Sadly, critical thinking is not encouraged in fundieland.

I agree, Lori and ilk could learn from us. We have SAHM members here who we support and learn from. Our SAHM members have expressed acceptance and support of working women. We have have or had members whose husbands were SAHDs.  Lori and her fangirls don't do anything to learn from people who are different from them. They push marrying, having kids, and staying at homes as the only plan for women. Lori's fangirls generalize all working women and two income homes as unstable and materialistic which isn't true for all people in those categories. I don't think Lori will ever actually learn from us or others who support working women. I have some hope that a few of her fangirls might eventually learn from us.

One of my 2018 wishes is that Lori is publicly brought down and called out on her various lies by people who actually know her. Given how horrible she is on the Internet, she has to have enemies in her family or other circles. Her aunts called her out on Always Not Learning a bunch of times. I imagine others in her family view her as the annoying aunt and cousin and might be actually want to see her go down.

ETA: I also hope that the neighbors that she has shit talked know and eventually come forward and dish on Lori.

While I don't totally agree with this guy labeling them as trophy wives. He seems to be playfully mocking Lori and the fangirls. I think this guy has been watching Lori's page for awhile and knows that many of her fangirls have a huge risk of ending up homeless or in a financial mess if something happened to their husbands.

Lindy's comment to the guy is interesting. Funny how she says the surviving spouse can earn an income. She doesn't go into more detail about that. So does that mean Lindy believes widows should go out and work and not find a magical church to support them?

I have been thinking about this for the last couple of days.  I can't get it out of my mind.  It has made me sick to my stomach, in a way that no other Lori exchange has.

I truly hope that the medical professionals overseeing her daughter's care are observant enough to see what's happening.

Lori conveniently forgets that women were systematically denied an education and opportunities until relatively recently (and, in many cases, are still being denied both). Of course it appears like women aren't capable of inventing things on the same level as men, if one looks at it since the dawn of human history--women haven't even had the vote for 100 years, ffs. Every advancement made by a woman is done with her metaphorical hand tied behind her back. We have to be twice as good to accomplish half as much. What a bunch of bologna and cheese.

Yes.  It has been haunting me as well.  I look at my kids and imagine if it were them being treated like that.   Why is that 11yr old self harming like that, I have to wonder.  Has it always been that way or is it a response to abuse?  Should she be given something to ease that behaviour?  Is she properly stimulated and played with or do they ignore her besides to discipline when mom gets annoyed BECAUSE SHE IS CHEWING HER OWN TONGUE AND FINGERS RAW?  She can't express herself or have any outlet whatsoever other than what is given.  I'm beyond shocked and angry with this talk.  I hope they get a visit from CPS after publicly stating what is going on in that household.

Lori has three examples from extreme thinking feminists.  I'm not sure I would call them feminists because they are filling the void of men in the "women need to be told what to do and harshly judged" department.   Piss off with that!  Two extremes, interesting.  No middle ground.  

I got noticeably more praise as a SAHM, honestly.  And, I live in L.A.!  Heathen central.
