I don't find it funny either. I would be so humiliated if my picture were on something like that. She doesn't deserve it, even if she's a shitty person.

Nobody's picture should be on that site (nevermind it is disgusting that site even exists). But still it is funny that a bot (hopefully not a real person because that would be real gross) picks the queen of purity for it. I think it is more embarressing for the site (as it shows how fake it is) than for Jessa.

It reminded me of the nation wide ad promoting atheism in the UK a few years ago. They had picked a stock photo of a really happy looking kid. Later it appeared to be a child from a very Christian family whose dad earned some extra cash taking stock photos.

For Jessa it is of course different as the pic was used without permission. But if I laugh, it is at the dumbness of the website, not at her. Everyone knows she is above (that kind of) reproach.

I really could have gone my whole life without knowing that "Pregnant Fuckbook" existed.

Also, does anyone else live with a nagging fear that a picture of themself will one day end up in one of these porn ads or in a meme that won't die? I do...

I'm always worried that I'll be doing something stupid/silly at the gym and someone will snap chat me and it will go viral. Lol I don't think I do anything silly at the gym, but it's an irrational fear of mine after seeing so many "gym fails" go viral

Not exactly the same, but I've had pictures end up at a cast fetish forum. I had a blog at that time and suddenly I was getting thousands of hits from a german sex fetish site. It was a little weird, but the pictures weren't dirty or anything, it was just me with a bright pink cast on my arm.

What on earth, lol. If it exists, someone gets turned on by it... guess rule 34 is true.

Jessa will probably get more screen time than Jill or the other young adults because she's close with Jinger, and will be helping to plan every detail of the party.

Spurgeon and Israel aren't old enough to be ring bearers, so the babies will chill in the seats.

I went to a wedding where the bride's son who was a young toddler was the ring bearer. He was carried by one of the groomsmen who assisted him to hold the pillow with the ring. It was cute.

I don't necessarily think that Jinger would do that - it's one thing to give your own child such a prominent place in your wedding, but less likely for your sibling's kid - but there are options where even very small children can participate in weddings with some adult assistance.

Nah, they'll go in the Wagon O' Babies (along with Meredith) that they haul out at weddings to remind Jinger of the only thing she'll ever be valued for.

Didnt someone film their entire wedding? I forgot to save the link then. I'm curious about it...

It is abhorrent that these women will never know their true value or worth, because they have never been able to explore their potential.

Surely izzy will be able to walk down the aisle holding Meredith's hand, escorted by... Hannie?

I've just been for a gander at Jessa's Instagram and I have to say, Spurge is TOTALLY adorable! He's all alert and chubby and engaged and is cute beyond words :my_heart:

I also think he's a very loved little baba, and I'm actually basing this on his clothes...bear with me on this for a moment. My sister in law had three very late miscarriages before eventually having my perfect, beautiful little nephew. Obviously he was the most precious and adored child in the whole universe and she got about a gazillion gifts because everyone was so thrilled with his safe arrival.

Anyhoo, SIL had a huge wardrobe of clothes to put on baba, and her favourite pastime was putting together cute looks for him. The child was changed umpteen times a day..."He can wear this for going shopping in the morning and after his nap I'll put him in this for going to see granny. And maybe this for tomorrow evening, in case anyone calls?"...We all got such a kick out of his wardrobe - a jaunty cap here, a duckie boot there, you can imagine. We gelled his hair up, we slicked it sideways, we back combed it into a quiff - he was the best fun that had ever entered our lives :my_biggrin:

And Spurge reminds me of that time, when I flick through their pics. His looks and styling are so cute and I really think it might be coming from the same place that it was with my nephew; the place that's called 'Wow! - I never knew it was possible to love anything this much;isn't he BEAUTIFUL???!'

I'm basically the closest I'm ever likely to be to becoming a leg-humper when I look at Spurge :pb_lol:

I hear you, and I know how exciting it is to finally get a longed for child.

That said, what you are describing often has a lot more to do with conspicuous consumption and material wealth than relative levels of affection. When I see this in families like the Duggars, I have two main thoughts that are a little different than yours.

First, how hard it must be for poor families who foolishly try to emulate this lifestyle without that sweet TLC money. Jessa is rich. Changing her baby often may or may not have anything to do with love (especially when changing the baby for pictures).

Second, how fundies tend to fetishize babies as accessories. It goes right back to the baby wagon at the wedding. Babies are their crowning accomplishments, and cute babies in fancy clothes are definetly status symbols.

Or, as I learned when I babysat my nephew, babies are really messy. And baby spit up smells nauseating when you have morning sickness. So changing clothes a lot is more for survival than fun sometimes. :pb_lol:

Would someone be carrying Josie while she pulls the wagon? That would seem more Duggar-style.

Lowkey kinda hope Jessa is pregnant right now because I feel like she and Ben need a damn reality check. I would love to see those two clowns try to take care of two babies so close in age while simultaneously reciting their "children are a blessing and we cant wait for more" mantra. Better yet I hope shes having twins this time around.  :pb_lol:

I saw the pic of Jessa and had some thoughts, but I am not speculating.... I am just waiting for a Blessed Announcement.

Goodness knows if someone saw me (and not the gray hair), I would be asked when I was due.  Awkward.

I thought they were going to adopt. :laughing-rofl:

They adopted the free publicity.

Seriously sad how they'd use such an emotionally charged and important topic as adoption for clicks but... par for the course. Sadly I only think we'll see an adoption for a bad reason unrelated to a child's welfare... that is, to revive the franchise.
