The Kellers didn't have the resources to keep all of the children under their control. The Duggars have been deliberately hobbled with JimBob holding all the financial and emotional control. If a kid were to run from the Duggars they would have no money and no good way to make some being they don't have good educations. I haven't been able to read everything, I can't keep up. Just my 2 cents: I'm not surprised at all that Josh cheated, I'm just surprised it didn't come out any sooner. He's such a typical narcissist, he probably thought he could go on like this forever and nobody would ever know.

All this Anna-blaming is making me sick. A friend of mine got cheated on by her husband when she was pregnant with their second child and they'd just bought a new house. He got scared and suddenly thought he was missing out on life or something, it was nothing she had done, it was all him. My friend decided to forgive him, but she, unlike Anna, had other options. She has a very well paid job and would've been able to pay off the mortgage on the house and feed and clothe her children without his help. Her husband knows I was totally ready to help her pack up his shit and burn it in the backyard. Anna probably doesn't feel like she has that choice. She has no education, no job, and parents who make her feel like this was her fault somehow. I'm glad she has Daniel and Suze, but I very highly doubt she'll listen to them. It's a shame. Yes, Anna is annoying and full of Kool-Aid, but I have a soft spot for her. I hope she gets some professional help, is disease free, and gets on that birth control already. Josh is not going to stop, he'll try to find a new chick as soon as he thinks this is over.

I saw the comment on the Duggar Facebook page earlier, and the commenter in question is named "Not a Cop" and has a stock picture as his profile pic. I mean, I wouldn't be surprised if it comes out that there were, in fact, 11 plus women, but this particular FB user is a legit troll account trying to get a rise out of everyone.

One of the thoughts about this is also that the husband would be more likely to want to try for another child right away after the birth of a daughter so that he could get a son, so it's a way to allow the woman to heal.

You know what bothers me more than Josh cheating? The fact that the Kellers, Jim Bob and Michelle are not protecting Anna. Notice that Jim Bob only married off his girls to men who seem to adore and cherish them. If Ben or Derrick did this to Jessa or Jill, Jim Bob would be the first one there with a moving truck. But they don't value Anna enough to kick Josh out and take care of her and the kids. Why was it okay with Anna's parents that Josh was a molester and now is mistreating her?

Yes, Anna is an adult and she could leave and go to her brother. But I thought the whole point of courtship and their culture was that the father is a protector? No one treasures her (the way the Duggars treasure their daughters) and so she doesn't even know her own worth. It's sad.

What would inspire Jana to court at this point? Although she is in the thick of it all with Journeys to the Heart and IBLP teachings and meeting. And Jinger. This nastiness with Josh shows Jinger what she has to look forward to. She could be viewing courtship and marriage with a bit of trepidation. Perhaps....

I couldn't see them encouraging Jill/Jessa to leave BUT I could definitely see JB pressuring Ben/Derrick to leave if they were to do this to one of his daughters.

Think about it: A woman meets up with Josh and immediately she doesn't see that he matches the picture in his profile and in talking it's obvious he has no education and isn't as great as he thinks he is. She may think "Eh, what the fuck" and just go with it that one time. But, I can't imagine he got any repeat business. I think Joshie had several one-night stands, but no one came back for seconds.

Also, just because Ashley Madison and OkCupid are the sites he was caught using to cheat doesn't mean they were the only ones, or that he was only using the internet. There are a lot of creepy websites that aren't all that hard to find if you're intent on finding someone to have sex with. Somehow I doubt he stopped at Ashley Madison and OkCupid.

On the topic of the profile pics not matching Josh, I wondering if he somehow got called out by at least one woman. Josh was catfishing a bit. He was risking quite a bit by using pics of other men. Let's say that the AM hack never happened, there was always the chance that Josh could have been exposed because someone could have found out about him using other people's pics for profiles.

I also read awhile ago, that Matthew McCarthy is threatening to sue to Josh for defamation because of the OKcupid profile. I don't know if a lawsuit will go anywhere or if Matthew has a good chance of getting something from Josh. But I think it's good that Josh will have to somehow answer for using another man's image for bad purposes.

Of course they don't treasure their daughters. The Megyn Kelly interview made that crystal. They couldn't shut up about "Josh's heart." To heck with the girls. If that ever happened to my daughter, even if it was my son (I don't have a son, but hypothetically speaking), my NUMBER ONE priority would be protecting my daughter. However painful/hard it was. She would be my first priority. It's my job as her parent to keep her safe while she's small and defenseless, and once she's older, I still would do anything to ensure her safety first.

I understand why some people may think that, and i guess speculating about adults sexuality is not against the rules of the forum, but i think stating it as a fact is not nice, and to be honest is impossible to know, just because he appears to be gay doesnt mean he is, people really surprise you. I have seem more people doing it in the past so this is not only directed to you, please dont take it as a personal attack.

Stating anything untrue or unproven about someone could be considered not nice. But there is nothing wrong with being gay and I doubt anyone here that speculates about David Waller being gay means it in a negative way. We speculate all kinds of things about fundie adults, I'd rather someone think I was gay than someone think I discipline my kids with violence and we're allowed to ponder whether David blanket trains (haha, like the man would be child rearing, but you get what I mean).

This is what I've been thinking! Part of me wants to go investigate some of the other sites to look around for matching profiles, but honestly I don't have the stomach for it. I really wouldn't be surprised if he had other accounts, usernames, emails, etc.
