I can't remember- was it josh or Davey that Pa Keller made promise about always allowing his daughter to view their computer history? Maybe he had his suspicions already? If so, that makes it all the more fucked up.

I'm honestly surprised that the statement didn't put more blame on the corrupting influence of the outside world and how important it is to remain removed from the secular world (except when you make money from it) and how Josh's failure is even more proof and justification that children should be kept in the home and monitored completely (even as married adults) so that they don't fall off the wagon. I think it's going to be a super lockdown at the Duggar compound from here on out.

I know people are shocked that Josh could do this after having already so badly betrayed his family as a teenager but, OF COURSE, he did! He completely got away with molesting those girls. Not only that but he basically got to blame his sisters for his actions for nearly 12 years. He had no real consequences and he definitely thought he'd have no real consequences for having an affair, so why shouldn't he have one?

So I was looking at the '2015 Predictions' thread from late last year, and I think artdecades wins:

Josh will have a public meltdown of some sort, lose his job, return to Arkansas, continue to be sweaty and bald.

Georgiana also predicted that Josh would be let go from FRC and move back to Arkansas.

A few others predicted a scandal/bad publicity of some sort and/or the show being cancelled. But it seems like 2015 is shaping up to be a much more interesting year than any of us could have predicted. :shock:

I just finished reading her post. I think her statement, "When you obsess over sex, you shouldn't be surprised when sex becomes an obsession" hits the nail on the head. We all know how obsessed with sex the Duggars are. Every other sentence out of their mouths is about sex. Like JB and DQ telling Micheala and Brandon (or how ever she spells her name) to be fruitful and multiply.

There is a lot of security at the Duggar compound- the gate, the cameras, the guards- I'm betting at least Anna and M'kids are there. Both this year and last year, I considered putting up the 2015 predictions during the summer for a kind of mid-year check-in. I'm glad I didn't this year, because I think things just got way more interesting, and I think they will continue to. But holy cow, there's some prolific stuff in that thread...

Where I live, you actually can kick someone out his/her own property if the house/flat is the family's main home and the children would suffer too much if they had to move. So in this case, if Anna would get primary custody of the kids, they could make Smuggar leave the house at least for a certain period of time, in order for the children and Anna to live there. But of course, I don't know how the Arkansas law is in this point.

She's in a tricky position. If she leaves now a lot are going to demand to know why cheating on her was in her line in the sand when molesting his sisters wasn't. Whatever she decides to do I hope that she will be allowed to do it privately and without comment.

I skimmed some of the comments on the official Facebook page in response to the statement. There are still leg humpers there. They're going with "Josh did something bad but the rest of the Duggars are still awesome Christians totally worthy of our leg humpering and the rest of them should still get their TV show back."

A married person can own a home in Florida without their spouse having an ownership interest. The spouse will generally have a homestead interest in the property. That might limit to whom the property can be transferred upon death, but that doesn't make the spouse a co-owner.

I really think the Duggars will surround Anna with love and support, as well as the M Kids. Josh needs to go away to some sexual addiction clinic for a few months where they will kick his ass night and day for his addictions and his arrogance. Let's hope Ma and Pa Duggar can pay for this, rather than Josh. I am sure his wife and kids need the money more than Jim Bob.

Two questions - he's giving his baby girls to virtual strangers and he has two fucking questions. I have a daughter, I was a daughter and the total disregard is so foreign to me. It's really heartbreaking.

I hope Anna knows that she needs to see a doctor and be tested for STDs, even if Josh says he used a condom (they don't protect against HPV). I know these people don't go to the doctor much, I wonder how aware they are the risks to Anna (and to children she gives birth to).

Fundies are opposed to the HPV vaccine because it "shouldn't be necessary." Of course their kids don't need it since they'll be virgins until marriage, marry a virgin and never be in a position where they could get raped (their words, not mine). I'm guessing "cheating spouse" was another thing that could just never happen to them or their kids.

They don't admit it, but they don't like the HPV vaccine because it negates their "condoms don't protect against all STDs" anti-sex point.
