I don't think Anna will leave Josh. She wasn't raised to be a strong independent woman, she was raised to be a wife, to follow her husband, regardless of her own feelings. Additionally, she is uneducated, unskilled, extremely naive, and saddled with 4 children under 5. I just don't think she can do it. My heart goes out to her.

This statement is what really irks me about his response to the leak! The 4 years olds at the preschool I worked at were learning the hard way about the consequences of their actions and they are 23 years younger than Josh! It just goes to show you how delayed the Duggars are when it comes to moral development!

I've been divorced 3 years. My ex left me and my then 15 month old daughter and moved in with another woman. We had been married 7 years at that point. It was devastating. However, I have a career, an education, and family to support me. I got through it and I am happy now. I can't imagine being in Anna's shoes. It is worse for her in some ways. I searched for my ex's email address on the Ashley Madison hack. His was there....so I guess the infidelity might have been occurring for longer than I thought.

Whew!! Finally got caught up and my now my ipad is at 4%. I think there will be more coming out--possible child porn, a few women or men coming forward? This isn't over yet.

I've had to charge my iPad twice and am now using my iPhone to give it a break.

I must say I've never seen parents who's kids made bad decisions due to their suddenly having freedom recognize their part. Instead they say, see this is why you could never have freedom before!

Really? I've seen parents saying a bunch of times that their child went off the rails because they went straight from super strict to you're an adult now, do as you will.

Essentially, "We should have given you gradually more freedom".

I'm not see I feel that bad for Anna right now. I would hope shed use this opportunity to run but I'm doubtful. I feel bad for JD, with an older brother like this his parents would have been way harder on him. It's also possible that Josh's actions would give him a crisis of faith or some serious introspection. I'd be messed up if I were judged as being possibly the same way as my older brother by my parents.

I see JD and his twin as Most Likely To Stay Single. I don't think his parents were harder on him, Josh's dysfunction made it easier for him to be The Good Older Sibling. I mean he is the first one to get his own plane.

Cheating doesn't have to end a marriage. Especially if it is a one time situation and the cheater takes full responsibility and works hard to rebuild the marriage, but in my opinion the one was cheated on has every right to leave.

If I was cheated on, I think I many circumstances I would stay and see if I could be resolved. (I think, it's hypothetical for me, and when these things happen you don't know how you would feel at the time). But I don't think I would stay in this situation. I don't think there is enough the other party could do where I would ever have a sliver of trust again.

But then, I don't think I could have married someone who I barely spent time with, much less barely spent time with and molested his sisters as a teenager and that time was never alone and not very long. And I have a job, am educated, can make it on my own, etc.

Anna is in a shit situation. She was promised this shit wouldn't happen if she followed the rules of the patriarchy. And it did. Everyone failed her, especially since she was neutered of being able to develop good judgments without a man telling her the right thing.

I really hope that Anna has someone telling her that this behavior is not okay and she doesn't have to accept it but when/were would she have had the opportunity to build that type of friendship? My closest friends are from school, work, parents of my sons' classmates & teammates, the BFF that I met at a club and the forever sister that I kept when she divorced my lying, cheating brother. Anna has been shielded from all that. Her father needs his ass kicked for letting these manchildren trap his daughters & grandchildren. The inmates he likes to minister to have more freedom than his girls.

I hope so, too, though I fear it won't be the case. Anna has what seems to be a loving family, so I do think they'd offer consolation rather than chastisement.

However... in this world, it's taught that *all* male infidelity is because of the wife. That's going to be hard for her to get a grip on. It's not likes some Jezebel came on to him (though that's not a biblical representation of Jezebel - she was a bad-ass Baal follower and exhibited the very qualities of loyalty to Baal that we admire in Christians and Jews. but I digress). He *sought* an affair (can we conclude that one happened or did he just publicize). In fundy-world, the wife bears a great deal of responsibility for that. They won't discount Josh's sin (he goes for sexual addiction therapy in 3 - 2- 1 and grows closer to God), but being *so* aware of things like defraudation (hey, I made up a word) and men being visually stimulated, and once you're married, the wife keeps her husband satisfied... it's going to be hard for Anna. Hell, she has a newborn, a couple toddlers and a preschooler. oh, my... I just can't even conceive of what must be going through her mind.

Nah, we all know that DQ only cares about her kids when they are still babies. After that they are just another prop.

I can see JB and M excusing Josh because they weren't truly tied into ATI in his early childhood. They were using birth control and even sent him to kindergarten! It will reinforce their sheltering of the younger kids, not make them question it.

They never sent him to kindergarten. They made the decision to homeschool BEFORE he went to kindergarten. Or at least that's the story I've always heard Michelle tell. They became quiverfull between Josh and the twins.
