Vyckie happily took her part of that money for quite a while.

Now she tries to make her money on the other side.

Not impressed. (BTW That article is a re-hash; she puts things up and takes them down or gives interviews or whatever repeatedly on the same recurring things, which is not so much a problem as is giving the impression that it is something new...)

I know she's unpopular here (I never really got into that whole fight with her daughter although I see it as proof of the lingering damages this kind of life has on everyone involved in it) but her points are quite valid. When I read her points about the money making involved for the family values profiteers, it made me think of this movement in a whole new way. It caused me to write my own blog on the marketing of fear (http://shipwreckedandcomatose.blogspot. ... -sale.html). There is huge profit to be made in keeping people afraid.

This was quite a timely post for me because today I had a FB friend who is ultra right wing post this today https://secure.piryx.com/donate/PF7HvqD ... rage-Fund/. He prefaced it saying, "The War on Marriage Isn't Over." I don't believe that any politician would be fired for voting her conscience (although might not be re-elected), so the idea that she's asking the public to pay her salary is insane to me. Can you imagine that legal gay marriage is a "War on Marriage"? If that's not fearmongering, what is?
