"My 17 year old son is a lifeguard at a public pool. He was shocked when a women whipped it out the other day sitting on the pool steps to breast feed. His boss said they couldn't say anything! "

I am glad to hear that some businesses/organizations are finally realizing that the law protects breastfeeding women. It is a natural right for a baby to be fed when and where he/she needs it, and women have the right to choose how to feed their babies. Done, end of discussion.

If I were her, I'd be more worried about the fact that I'd raised a kid for 17 years and somehow neglected to inform him that mothers feed their babies and it's no big deal. Carry on with your life guarding....

Side note: I bet Lori gets 15 shades off pissed of when she sees her daughter's Instagram

That's actually a really good point, too.

One woman wrote a very thoughtful/respectful reply on Facebook- even agreed that modesty was necessary, but feeding baby was the bottom line. Lori deleted it. You have to agree with her 100%

I nearly copied it when I saw it, but I thought there was no way she would delete it. Unbelievable.

This is the best Lori post in ages. I haven't laughed this hard at an Alexander since Ken visited.

I'm just going to say it: Lori's daughters and daughter-in-law (Emily) have likely defrauded more men than any of us on FJ; at least, according to Lori's standard of dress. I don't see anything modest about the way they dress. Lori herself wears VERY low cut blouses and dresses.

I wonder why Ken and the sons (and sons-in-law) tolerate her depicting them as sexual predators that are walking around in a constant state of arousal. The way she describes them, it's like if they go out to dinner, Ken sees one low cut top, then grabs Lori and has a quickie in a back hallway of the restaurant because he JUST CAN'T CONTROL HIMSELF.

I absolutely hate the way she writes ALL men when she does a post like this. No...most men do NOT get aroused when watching a mother breast feed. We recently saw a woman sitting on a bench, breastfeeding her baby, at the mall. Believe it or not my husband did not get all hot and bothered and whisk me into a dark corridor for some quick mall sex. We were both just kind of like "Aw..cute baby!" as we walked by.

We know Ken is a little pervy about ogling women. Some have speculated he's cheated on Lori. I think Lori just likes to find a way to excuse his abhorrent behavior by blaming women and stating that ALL MEN are too weak to control themselves.

Lori, I'm really sorry that you married a man that cannot be trusted. You should have chosen better.

Oh, and while we are on the topic of modesty; one of your sons really likes to wear his shirts unbuttoned WAAAAAY down low. It is a nice Saturday Night Fever look but you might want to tell him to button up a little.

I feel like leaving Lori a Meanwhile On Instagram comment.

Her oldest daughter's Instagram in particular reads like an In Your Face message to the Godly Mentor.

But I guarantee you Lori would get huffy and explain that those were costumes for Jesus and Ken would chime in and say that they were just dressing Christian Risque, and then Lori would scrub all of the comments and go back to whining about mom's nursing in public where Ken can ogle at them.

Remember when Lori was all hot to trot against yoga pants? Her daughter has a pretty recent picture of her stretching in leggings. She looks amazing.

Well, leggings/yoga pants are a struggle for Ken...

Lori Alexander:

It's funny you should mention leggings, Maria. Ken told me MANY years ago that I couldn't wear them so I haven't since. It is VERY difficult for men with it plastered everywhere. It is a battle but thankfully, the Lord is in their battle with them for those who love Him. Also, we, who call ourselves women who love the Lord, must not make their battle more difficult for them.

Leggings were the only thing that Ken asked me not to wear many years ago!

Most honest men would say bikinis and leggings are immodest.

Ken Alexander:

I like Lori to wear dresses at or just above her knees, yet some will call that immodest. I hate leggings unless a dress is also being worn to at least mid thigh. I am embarrassed for most women who wear them, or yoga pants, not just for their immodesty, but most women look awful in them.

We need a whole list of *just* Ken's fashion advice.

Putting this here where it's safe from Lori's delete finger:

Here's what gets me about the whole breastfeeding in public is OK, but we must never show any part of the breast......there was a time when it was accepted that women will expose their breasts in order to feed their babies. But now, the breast has been sexualized to the point that can't use their breasts for what they are designed for in that season of their lives in public, and quite frankly, anywhere else. I know a LOT of young women that won't breastfeed because they feel it's gross and their breasts are meant for pleasure, nothing more. It's really sad. I think it sends a double message when we say that YES, you should breastfeed because it's best, BUT you really must cover-up because after your breasts are foremost sexual objects.

Lori says:

Young women, I am commanded by the God of the universe to teach you to be discreet while breastfeeding.

This is the most hilarious statement I have read in some time.

Warning. Breastfeeding can lead to pornography addiction (or so say the sheeple):

When my son was 12, the woman sitting down from him in our pew in church was breastfeeding uncovered. He looked over once and quickly looked away but I caught him looking over a few more times. He told us in the car the reason he kept looking was because he never saw a bare breast before. Jump to 3 years later - he admitted to us that when he went to his friends house after church that day, he told the friend "all about her boob" and then they used the computer to seek out more pictures. He told us this one event was what started his 3 year long addiction to pornography. Jump to another several years later now - he still struggles with pornography off and on. He is adamant that if he ever marries and has children, his wife will NEVER expose her breasts to curious young boys...or anyone other than him/her. Women who show their bare breasts to the world FOR ANY REASON are so so very selfish and the opposite of God's definition of modest.

Lori:

It's ignorance for them to think that there are different types of breasts; a nursing breast and a sexy breast. They're the same and men don't distinguish any difference when they see one

 Keep it coming Lori. You're on a roll today.

So this topic of breastfreeding in public seems a bit off the radar of what she usually discusses. I'm betting that some attractive (by Ken's standards) woman was breastfeeding, Ken was watching intently, ignoring Lori who has is so godly, and Lori was not happy. Then voila, we get to see a post about breastfeeding and all men (Ken) can't control themselves. She really needs to stop passive aggressively berating Ken on such a public forum.

I, for one, breastfed in public. I didn't whip my breasts out for the world to see, as Lori would make everyone believe that breastfeeding moms do. She makes it sound like women make announcements like, "hey everyone look here! I'm breastfeeding" and unbutton or remove their blouses and bras before breastfeeding.

The joyfilledwife's husband has been exposed to indecency too..."poor" thing:

You are bold and wise to bring this topic up, Lori! This is a subject that me and many women I know do not agree on. I take a Biblical stance on this subject and really cannot see where women are coming from who feel that exposing their breasts, for any reason, is justified. I am even uncomfortable when a woman nurses openly just in front of me. It's not difficult to use a nursing cover, even with a child who doesn't like it. You just train them to be still and obey. If needed, use a breathable blanket that you can sit on the ends so it can't be pulled off.

Once, my family was at the park playing and my husband and I were talking to a lady. I had walked away for a second to move my little one to another spot on the playground and when I came back, the lady had whipped out her breast, started nursing her 2 year old, and was facing my husband talking to him. My poor husband was so shocked! Poor thing completed his sentence facing completely away from her and ended up walking away to play with the kids. We had that happen a second time with another woman while we were eating dinner at a restaurant with her and her husband. Sometimes I am utterly shocked by the poor judgment of others. Thank you for sharing your wisdom on this subject.

:wtf: Tell your husband to grow the hell up. And grow the hell up yourself while you're at it :?

Lori:

That's really sad, thejoyfilledwife! There's no safe place anymore to go and get away from the immodesty in our country, I guess. Unfortunately, even way too many Christians are lacking in wisdom because they aren't spending enough time in the Word and learning from those that are more mature in the faith.

Sheeple:

I totally agree with you Lori! I am a momma now nursing #8. There has never been a time when I had to be bare other than in the hospital with the nurses at birth. Even then I do my best to be modest. All these young woman who insist on pulling the neck of their shirt down and exposing their whole breast could just as easily pull their hem up and cover the breast and cheek with their shirts. The public display shown now is not about breast feeding rights. It is about the 'right' to do whatever you want where ever you want. More liberal agenda. "Everyone has rights and it doesn't matter if they infringe on others rights", or so they say....

It is a sad state of affairs we as a country are in now.

She was even modest when she was giving birth ya'll! And breastfeeding in public= LIBERAL AGENDA!

I nursed all three of my kids for varying lengths of time...I never thought it was "sexy"...actually I thought it was a great way to feed my kids and keep them from crying! I nursed everywhere and anywhere, including in church! I knew how to nurse "discreetly"...heck, I could get a baby latched on and nobody saw nothing. None of my kids liked having something over their faces when they were eating, it was a great time for snuggling and yes, eye contact with the nursling.

Lori is WHACKED. She and Ken are like the rest of the fundies who are soooo hung up on sex...I think they're just jealous of those of us who get it regularly.

:wtf: Tell your husband to grow the hell up. And grow the hell up yourself while you're at it :?

Lori:

Let's recap the story of the JoyFilledWife:

She was abused as a child, which led her to tolerate an exceptional amount of shitty treatment from her husband.

Her "poor husband" is the same guy who had a massive porn addiction and who treated her to constant outbursts of anger - in other words, he's a total asshole.

I can't even use the "how would you like to be left hungry?" or "how would you like to eat YOUR dinner in the bathroom?" lines on her, because she DID eat secretly in the bathroom when her asshole husband got angry at her for eating a piece of bread only 4 hours after her previous meal. The woman is underweight, btw. Her Christian counselor[tm][/tm] told her to appease him when he tried to control her food, and just sneak some bites in on the side.

So, yeah. THAT is who these people are, and those are the moral values that they feel are under attack. 'Cause a breastfeeding mom is clearly the biggest problem in their lives.
