    Roots of Royals Wife School

I scrolled across a public post in my Facebook feed today that I had to share: Their website is nuts. Their t-shirts have the slogan "man leads." I haven't had time to dig too deep, but I knew you all would want to see this. www.rootsofroyals.com
  2. Lori and Ken still can not quit the internet and continue to babble about nothing. They have however, scrubbed the internets of their praise of Josh Dugger. Too bad FJ never forgets... Continue you discussion and while you are at it, don't forget to employ some GoogleTactics[tm][/tm]. Part 1: viewtopic.php?f=8&t=26285 Part 2: viewtopic.php?f=8&t=26285 Part 3: http://www.freejinger.org/topic/24215-lori-alexander-still-not-learning-a-thing-part-3/?page=1

  4. Part 1: viewtopic.php?f=8&t=25361 I haven't been following this thread lately, so if someone else would like to post a summary it would be appreciated.
  5. ~extreme selfishness (putting the needs of yourself BEFORE the needs of your infants/children) ~grandiose view of one's own talents (thinking you've saved thousands of marriages) ~craving for admiration (constantly reminding people you are a "Godly" older woman and therefore have a say in their life. Editing comments to reflect praise that has not been given) Yep, you totally nailed it Lori. You are a classic narcissist! Well done.
  6. Occasionally, I'll read Lori's blog and think that she kinda sorta has a good point....and then she'll assume that all women are just controlling bitches like her and preach unconditional submission to husbands and the point is lost. I saw this article on a Facebook feed, and it sounds a bit like what Lori's original valid point might have sounded like, if she hadn't ruined it by being Lori and sticking in all that other crap. www.sunnyskyz.com/blog/610/I-Wasn-t-Tre ... asn-t-Fair No, not every woman is like this. Yes, men can sometimes do the same thing. I have seen situations like this, though, and have to agree that it's a pretty bad dynamic for a marriage. I like the idea of someone who gets angry over little things taking a step back, thinking about the good things about their partner, realizing that they are getting annoying over trivia, and looking at their own response and seeing how it may be disrespectful/scary/out of proportion.
  7. Lori is becoming a celeb, I guess. She was interviewed on the radio. I haven't listened to it yet, but here is the link: http://www.blogtalkradio.com/cwa-radio/ ... y-of-faith
  8. New business idea from Kenny. Women, and women only do not know how to live without the internet. Answer? Bootcamp. Learn to do housework for 2-3 hours a day- no less, no more. There are big bucks in this. And Everything, no exceptions, is always the females fault.
  9. Well, I think the Alexanders may be feeling the heat of the big thread we have going on (I started a new one just to focus on one of her more recent additions!). Lori posted about not being liked, and being unpopular. Ken answers comments for her and calls us left-wing liberals again. All in a day's work, FJ! My favorite exchange is in the comments: Ken: "...Why is it that some can hide behind anonymous monikers yet threaten to "out" Christian bloggers with small children who need protection (could he mean the Rodrigueses?!) or want to destroy a blogger's business because of his religious views? (I wouldn't say "destroy", per se...maybe just "helpfully inform clientele"...) They have inconsistent values that they apply to themselves only when it serves them to do so. They stand as judge, jury and desire to be jailer towards Christian bloggers (Nah, mostly just hypocrites. FJ universally despises hypocrites.). Many a blog has been brought down by such individuals and all because they simply disagree?" (They have?) Francoise (reader): "I can see how this would be an annoyance, but no more than that. Remember what Christians go through in other countries! Thank goodness you live in a country where citizens are ALLOWED to disagree with each other. God bless and thank you for your wonderful blog." Props to you, Francoise. lorialexander.blogspot.com/2015/01/dogs-yelping-at-my-heels.html Edited for riffles...
  10. I kid you not. No matter what your husband's problem is, it's your fault because you are not trustworthy. amanhiswifethebible.wordpress.com/2014/12/27/an-insight-on-men/
  11. In really not news, Lori talks about women in church: lorialexander.blogspot.com/2013/08/women-silenced-in-church.html It seemed about time we had a new Lori and Ken thread.
  12. This may have already been posted. Mods, please feel free to delete if it has Lori Alexander: *gag* It's the first comment on this post: amanhiswifethebible.wordpress.com/2014/11/02/the-fallacy-implications-of-egalitarian-marriage/#comments Dear Lori, It's a shame that you need a "reminder" to respect your spouse. It's even more of a shame that you don't realize that showing respect does NOT have to = making someone your leader
  13. http://www.humansofnewyork.com/ ^^the story with the lady who had a cheating spouse . This why women shouldn't be dependent on a man. This is why education/careers are important. Why is this hard for Lori to get?
  14. Sweet baby infant Jesus, how many times can ken repeat himself in enormous walls of text?! He claims this is a "sermon series" but every sermon series I've ever experienced is different every week. He has said the exact. same. thing. every Sunday for the past month.
  15. God doesn't care if you're happy (and other pearls of wisdom from Lori Alexander) Well, you can always tell when Lori's managed to wrestle the keyboard away from Ken, because a GIANT WALL OF TEXT becomes a spewed paragraph of projectile vile shrewiness (<---it's a new word...I'm keeping it ) From today's post: Lori Alexander In other words: Lori Alexander In other words: Lori Alexander In other words: Lori Alexander In other words: Lori Alexander: In other words: Lori Alexander In other words: Lori Alexander In other words: Lori Alexander In other words: Lori Alexander In other words: Lori Alexander In other words: Lori Alexander In other words:
  16. I'm a bit tired and I wasn't sure how to title this thread, but here is Lori's blog entry, where she answers if she thinks women are inferior to men. lorialexander.blogspot.com/2014/10/do-i-think-women-are-inferior-to-men.html
  17. I was amused by this old comment of Ken's, written a couple of years ago lorialexander.blogspot.com/2011/10/adapting-to-himdothtml
  18. A commenter said she has never had an argument with her husband (which I find extremely hard to believe but that's besides the point). Lori asked her how this is possible. Commenter responds with a link to her own blog post: lindsays-logic.blogspot.com/2012/05/how-to-settle-disagreements-without.html?m=1 *shock* it's about conflict resolution which includes mutual respect and discussion from both parties. Lori recently called these tactics "fleshly" on Sheila's blog. Lori is not going to like this one bit.
  19. Well, now that Wardrobe Wanker is gone, I have time to read Lori's blog. In the comments about a post on (surprise!) submission, Maria shows some reason/critical thinking: EDIT: lorialexander.blogspot.com/2014/08/adorning-yourself-with-submission.html#IDComment861962284 Ken responds: Let's just put aside the fact that he doesn't even seem to understand the issue that Maria is addressing. We don't even have to touch that one. 1. "There are few other places to learn such discipline for young men." Because, you know, excelling at writing, the school newspaper, dancing, the piano, the tuba, etc. doesn't require discipline. Only sports. And probably only "manly" sports too. 2. "Here is a son who does not want to play sports because he knows what discipline it takes..." Because the ONLY reason a boy might not be interested in sports is because he is lazy/doesn't want to put in the discipline. It's not at all possible that he just doesn't like sports or that he sucks at them and wants to put his energy into something he could do well. 3. (continuation of above quote) "...like Dad does, but Mom has no clue..." OH NO HE DIDN'T. Clearly, women cannot understand what it is like to play a sport competitively. We don't understand the discipline involved. I clearly don't understand what it's like to go to practice for 3-4 hours a day in order to train for college track meets. I don't understand what it's like to play basketball for 10 years and to keep practicing and honing my skills on the off-season. I don't know what it's like to get up at 4am to go for a long bike ride and to go for a long swim after eight hours of work because I'm training for an athletic competition. I don't know what it's like to compete with shin splints, with the flu, or with a stress fracture in my leg because I'M JUST A WOMAN. 4. "but she jumps in the mix and robs her son of his ability to learn discipline." Maybe she's jumping in not to rob her son of discipline but because, if he is dedicating his free time (and sometimes well-being) to an activity, SHE WANTS IT TO BE SOMETHING HE DOESN'T HATE. But then, Lorken is all about life-long commitments to situations that make them miserable.
  20. Cabinetboy is reliving the glory days again Because sex is his choice and he'll decide when they have it damn it! Now remember this line about how crazy and violent (and of course how suicidal she was), because in a minute he's going be real generous and give her joint custody of the kids. Convince everyone she's nuts (thus limiting the number of people she can turn to for help)? Check. You'll notice that he in laboring under the delusion that he set the terms for the divorce, not a judge. He was "granting" her these concessions. However, he goes on threaten that if she doesn't do the divorce his way it would be "war" and he would fight her for custody and assets (all the while rubbing it in her face that he could easily replace her with no problem). So she has sex when he says or he "disciplines" her. And of course her counselor was TOTALLY on board with this. Or she could have just told him to fuck off and there wouldn't have been a damn thing he could do about it other than go sleep in the cabin or on the sofa himself. Umm, not that he was doing anything illegal...so umm, don't call anyone, k? Promise you won't send help? Because we're happy. Help is not needed here. Have I mentioned I'm as big as a mountain? And LAWYER!
  21. Men are happy because righty tighty lefty loosey. And not wearing a shirt at the water park. Someone upped her pain meds.
  22. Maybe it's me, but her reaction seems a little lorialexander.blogspot.com/2014/06/thejoyfilledwifes-husbands-addiction-to.html
  23. Ken weighs in with a wall o'text on the Red Herring post. He writes: "The issue of can there be marital rape or not will not be answered on this blog because the answer would be so complex one would have to write a book to explain it all. Certainly in the case of estranged or separated spouses there can be marital rape, but when a married couple is living together and they have sex, I think the courts would be remiss to throw a marital rape charge at a husband, although others charges like assault may well be warranted. No husband has the right to use force on a wife no matter if it is used for sex or for other things. So here is our bottom line. We do not need to throw out the inflammatory words of "marital rape" when discussing sex within a marriage. We can rightfully stand on the principle that no husband should force himself on a wife sexually, or non-sexually, period." Actually, it's not really complicated at all. There is no charge of "marital rape". If there is sex without consent, it's rape (or sexual assault if you live in Canada). Period.
