As weird as this sounds, I don't think that a maltheist would make a bad neighbor. They feel it is their duty to make the world a better place in rebellion to the evil god. I'm actually surprised that no one has invented a god that hates humans but doesn't have an equally good counterpart.

I don't believe that the world is unfair and cruel. That would be applying personal characteristics to something that isn't alive.

Nah, this isn't the fundie view. They don't believe in fighting to make things better for themselves and others. They think that if they beg, prostrate, and follow the rules enough, God will protect them. Also, anything bad must be endured with a smile because it's a test.
