I'm not going to critize the clothing, I don't think black is required for a funeral.

My Dad specifically asked my Mum that we not wear black, the only two of us who did were 2 of my idioit Brothers who showed up in new black suits and acted like they were the only people who were grieving him.

I was also wondering about that. Despite the protestations of their followers, I think they are more upset that they didn't get to control the timing of the release of the pictures rather than the fact that non-family members saw them. Whether during a Very Special Episode or a People Magazine interview, I am sure they intended to use these pictures both for propaganda and profit. They were intended to be seen, just not this early and without the proper spin attached.

In the Catholic Church it's not unusual to see light colors, to represent the belief in the resurrection.

I wonder how many days Famy will have to spend in the Prayer Closet for her shenanigans? Or do you think they will try to blame all this on the company who took the pictures of Jubilee? Discuss.....

OMG, you can't make this stuff up. I'm not a grammar prescriptivist, but even I can barely tolerate that random apostrophes! Here's a hint to Deborah: if you don't want people to snark on you, don't make it so easy and tempting for us!

The Duggar website is littered with misused apostrophes, with things like 'The Duggar girl's'. Oh really? There's only *one* Duggar girl?

SOTDRT fail.

I don;t think they can blame NowIlaymedowntoSleep for the release as its a non profit and all the photographers are volunteers who donate their services in each region, with the understanding that the photos are private and intended ONLY for the families use. To try to blame a service that had nothing to do with the release fo the photos due to some twit who is a fame lover would be SO wrong.

Just to chill you out further... the LOL doug thread is a model of fair use. Aint nuttin he can do about it. Once its on teh internetz its fair use so long as you arent claiming you took the photo etc.

That isn't quite accurate.

Isn't there some law about celebrities being fair game, photo and media wise? As in, well, they choose to be celebs so they get noticed, it's part of the job, etc?

Everyone is fair game. But the copyright holder is the one who took the picture(unless they give the copy right to someone else)

Yes, lifting the pictures from fb and posting here does not fit within fair use...but it isn't a crisis. It will settle down and the absolute worst that will happen is them requiring us to remove the photos.

(not a lawyer, but am a fair use expert :))

Dianne Stadtherr is really jonesing for the TLC Duggar site to come back up.

(And if you Google her name, she's all over the place commenting on tv shows and "celebrities", among other things.)

TLC-Just how long will the 19 Kids site be shut down, preventing people from commenting? You said it was only temporary, so when can we expect it to be opened up?

TLC-If you are trying to get rid of the inappropriate spam on the 19 Kids site, why is Sara Mae Schneider allowed to constantly post rude, and cruel remarks to everyone on that site? She has been reported numerous times, but you allow it, and you shut it down because of the porn?

We want the fan site back, so WE can comment. We don't want to be limited to commenting on TLC's threads only and that's all we can do. Your site is full of porn, so is Sister Wives, Cake Boss. You have ALL sites up and running, accept T&T's and 19 Kids. What's that about??? We want to comment!

"TLC Hello fans! Just to be clear, are you talking about our Facebook page? The page is still up. We've had to recently turn off the wall due to some inappropriate spam issues that we are trying to address. But the page is live --> 19 Kids and Counting. Let me know if you are talking about something different. Thanks!?"

We are waiting for you to answer us TLC!!!!!

I sure can see a LOT of happy faces in those pictures.

The J'Slaves must be relieved. Sorry to say that but this just took off 7 more years of slavery of their shoulders.

Oh, I hope they did not forget to sing Amazing Race the White People are this time. :violin:

I figure they'll go after TMZ before they come after us... Besides, we aren't hosting the pictures. We are merely providing a link to content.

So yeah, 7 billion people on earth, but the Duggars are such spechul snowflakes that they get angels surrounding their home.

I hope she accounted for the angels when she said the world's population could fit in Jacksonville. Their wings take up a lot of space, after all.

True. Also, TMZ adding their watermark thing was a bit tacky. "These are our pictures, see? We peed on them right there!" Ugh.

We provided a link while TMZ went all "mine! mine!" all over them.

I don't understand when this baby was born. She could not have miscarried prior to the doctor's appointment if they were measuring the baby in utero, looking for a heartbeat, etc. But the memorial was so soon after... did she deliver at home, because that is a lot of trauma for the children. I don't know, my bull-shit meter is pinging.

My understanding of the time line is, she found out at the routine U/S on Thursday (I believe). She went home and "naturally" miscarried on Sunday night but was light headed and not well so she was taken to the hospital as a precaution.

My problem is that she didn't feel the baby moving for some time and had no concern. An experienced mother (and she certainly is a "mother") knows when that baby isn't moving. I could feel my second and third fluttering around 10-12 weeks. By 16 weeks, she definitely should have been feeling that baby move.

Could it be that she relied on Jill monitoring the fetal heartbeat?

Oh I am sure she did. And now Jill has that guilt on her head too. I remember there were times my OB had to search for the HB of the baby. The OB would hear mine but not the baby. And this was a doctor who had been doing it a long time. And to me, I always thought it was the baby heart beat when I heard it. Even though Jill has been there through many of the J pregnancies, she is in no way an experienced mid wife.

My doctor had to do a U/S to find my baby's heartbeat once. Because of my prior losses, he did not want to fuck with my mental health. He tried with the doppler for a minute or two and then ran out for the U/S machine.

I don't understand the timeline either. Plus, it doesn't make any sense. I don't understand how Michelle could have been sent home with a deceased for three weeks fetus (if "Jubilee" was measuring 16 weeks and she was 19 weeks), to labor at home naturally, four days later. Plus, then this three, now almost four week, deceased fetus comes out with perfectly formed hands and feet, the size of which belie her gestational age.

Nothing about this makes any sense and I don't believe any of it either. I don't even really believe that Michelle was pregnant (or maybe she was for a few weeks), but that this became a publicity stunt to both promote their anti-choice agenda and try to stir up controversy to keep the money train going. Either way, it's all nonsense and BS, me thinks.

A little about me:

I've been married 21 years. We have 1 son, 19 who was planned and much anticipated.

I'm totally unfamiliar with miscarriages, luckily, so can someone answer this question I have?

If the fetus died at 16 weeks, wouldn't it, you know, start to rot in there? Gangrene? The doctor would just send someone away to 'let nature take it's course'? Even if that took 3 weeks or whatever it took? IMagine walking around, knowing that there was a small clot of dead goo in you... YUK.

Seems like she would have had to be cleaned out immediately, before it set up a serious infection and killed her, too... Anyone?
