"Aloha Santos"

Quote

George Santos survived an effort to expel him from the House with 31 Democrats voting against the effort. It would have taken two-thirds of the House to kick him out but the effort couldn’t even get a simple majority.

Santos is currently facing a criminal trial and a House investigation. Most members said he should have his day in court or at least allow the internal investigation to conclude before kicking him out. Others said they didn’t want to set a terrible precedent, and there’s a precedent to that.

The last House with a Democratic majority kicked Marjorie Taylor Greene off all her committee assignments because of her racism, antisemitism, and sharing death threats for Speaker Nancy Pelosi. After Republicans got the majority, they kicked Ilhan Omar off her committee assignments for antisemitism, and Adam Schiff, because he said too many bad things about Donald Trump. They rewarded MTG, the Jewish space lasers lady, with seats on the most important committees in the House.

Even though MTG deserved to be kicked off every committee, it gave Republicans bullshit reasons to remove Democrats.

I think the House should remove Santos, but it should be left up to Republicans. Democrats should sit it out. He’s the GOP’s problem and it was New York Republicans who tried to kick him out because they’re tired of him.

George Santos belongs in prison, not Congress and if Republicans don’t kick him, hopefully New York voters will.

That dress actually kind of reminds me of one of those high fashion Pucci dresses. Sarah Huckabee Sanders clothes reminds me of oh crap I have nothing to wear how can I drape a tablecloth or the curtains to fake an outfit.

Or, if Sarah has a stylist, the stylist either has no style or completely hates Sarah.

"Trump Temper Tantrum"

Quote

Donald Trump testified yesterday in the New York civil trial that threatens the existence of his business empire.

While legal experts pontificate and speculate on how the outcome of the judge’s ruling will be affected by Trump’s testimony, the one thing that’s clear is Donald Trump is a grifter and a conman. Numbers don’t lie, but Donald Trump does.

The judge has already ruled that Trump and two of his offspring are liable for fraud. This trial is to determine the extent of the punishment. The state wants Trump to pay $250 million and barred from doing business in New York.

In between temper tantrums, Trump argued that his properties were undervalued (not true). He said he often looked at his financial statements and would sometimes make suggestions, maybe suggesting they list 10,000 square footage as 30,000, or that something valued at $18 million should be listed as $1 billion. He also said the numbers weren’t important and banks didn’t pay attention. But if they weren’t important, then why did he fabricate them? And then like his two idiot spawns, he blamed other people for the statements, such as former controller of the Trump Organization Jeff McConney; former chief financial officer Allen H. Weisselberg, and outside accountant Mazars USA.

Trump also argued that it’s not his fault if lenders and investors believed his bullshit because there was a disclaimer. There should be a disclaimer for his followers in the MAGA movement.

Warning: Donald Trump is a conman and everything he says is a lie. He is not a great businessman as great businessmen don’t bankrupt four casinos. He’s not a great negotiator. He’s not a patriot and tried to steal an election he lost. When you send money to a criminal with gold toilets, you are solely responsible for the financial risk you are taking. Only morons send money to billionaires who own private planes. Instead of making America “great again,” he made it a lot worse. Also, if you support Donald Trump, it may be a sign that you hate democracy and are a stupid racist without the motor skills required to wipe his own butt.

At one point during the testimony, the judge told Trump’s lawyers to control his client and said, “This is not a political rally.” Trump whined on the stand, “This is a very unfair trial. Very, very. And I hope the public is watching.” That’s probably not a defense coached by his legal team.

Walking into the courtroom, Trump called Attorney General Letitia James a “racist” despite there not being a track record of her hating narcissistic grifting Oompa-Loompas. On the stand, he called her a “political hack” and accused her of going after him to run for governor. Taking down a lying racist grifter and banning his business from the state would make James a great candidate for governor.

The question everyone is asking is: Did Trump hurt himself with his testimony? I think the answer lies in the fact his lawyers didn’t ask him any questions.

Trump testified for four hours which isn’t even half as long as Hillary Clinton was forced to testify before the Republicans’ bogus Benghazi committees. At first, the judge tried to reel Trump in but laid off in the second half and let him run wild, which was probably much to the pleasure of the state’s legal team. If you give Donald Trump enough rope, he won’t hang Mike Pence…he’ll hang himself.

Ivanka is scheduled to testify Thursday and without being a legal expert, I predict she’ll say in a very soft voice, repeatedly, that she doesn’t know anything. Her argument against testifying was that she moved to Florida. Ivanka is trying to erase her history working for the Trump Organization like she’s trying to erase her history working for the Trump presidential administration (sic).

I also predict that the judge will not ban Trump from doing business in New York or fine him the full amount the state is asking for. He will be fined and may lose some assets, but I don’t think this judge will destroy the Trump Organization. But I do believe that at some point due to his illegal activities, he will lose it all. Someday he won’t own Mar-a-Lago and there will be another name on Trump Tower.

Babies probably shouldn’t own buildings anyway.

"Puff Puf Pass GOP"

Quote

President Joe Biden is doing so poorly in the polls that even a failed president (sic) and racist stupid dumbass like Donald Trump is beating him yet despite that, Democrats won big last night.

Democratic governor Andy Beshear won reelection last night in Kentucky against a Trump-endorsed opponent who tried to nationalize the election. Beshear has spent the past four years on state issues and has criticized his state’s total ban on abortion. He won easily despite Kentucky being a state Trump won easily in 2020.

Despite Ohio being a red state for Trump twice and sending J.D. Vance to the Senate last year, Republicans lost two big elections in the state last night. First, they lost on weed as voters approved legalizing recreational use. Republicans also lost on abortion as Ohioans easily approved a constitutional amendment establishing the right to an abortion. Republicans have lost on abortion when they allow voters to decide, even in red states like Ohio and even Kansas. Republicans still haven’t figured out that abortion is a losing issue for them. Most people in this nation favor abortion rights.

Look at Glenn Youngkin, governor of Virginia. When he ran for office in 2019, he was silent about his plans for abortion and spent his campaign gaslighting and lying about Critical Race Theory and “parental rights.” Shortly after going into office, he worked to ban abortions after 15 weeks down from the current 22. He called it a “compromise.” The only thing that stopped him was the Virginia Senate, which was blue. Last night, he tried to win the Senate to go with the Republican-led House so he could enact the new abortion ban…and heck…maybe even restrict it shorter than the 15-week “compromise.” But oh-oh, what happened? Not only did Youngkin not win the Senate but he also lost the House. Youngkin isn’t going to pass anything for the next two years without the approval of the Democratic General Assembly.

The good news is that Republicans are still confused as to why abortion isn’t working for them so they’ll keep trying and in doing so, continue to lose elections on it. Also, a Pennsylvania Supreme Court candidate who ran on abortion rights won last night, giving Democrats a 5-2 majority.

The only big one, kinda sorta, that Democrats lost last night was the race for Mississippi’s governorship, but it’s Mississippi. Both candidates were anti-abortion and despite being second cousin to Elvis, Democratic candidate Brandon Presley failed to bring a Blue Christmas to the state and spent last night in Heartbreak Hotel, even after promising voters a hunka hunka hunka of Medicaid expansion.

And even as the president faces low approval numbers he can take heart that the last six Kentucky governor’s elections have been won by the same party that won the presidential election the following year.

Republicans are the party that takes rights away, from women’s rights to voting rights. I hope voters realize this before November of next year.

I rarely agree with Michael Ramirez' point of view, but this one is good:
