Josh may have a high paid attorney, but the attorney is well aware of the full extent of the charges. His attorney can't cover up what was found on the computer nor the fact that Josh had gone through great lengths to cover his tracks. I wouldn't be surprised if his attorney is working on a plea deal so Josh doesn't spend the next forty years in prison and pays hundreds of thousands in fines.

The Duggars haven't held home church or services at the house for many, many years.  They not too long ago attended Caldwell's IFB church, but have since had a falling out and moved to another church according to the latest rumors.  

Pretty much all churches have children so I'm not sure what the probation office will work out for Josh to attend.  I presume he'll need a monitor.

Not sure about the bail. But, he is allowed out tomorrow and has to wear a GPS monitoring device. He is not allowed to leave the Reavers unless it is for work, church, and lawyer visits. Also, he is not allowed to be alone with his children unless Anna is present.

@CinnaJen,  that ride back from the groomer males me miss our Shih tzu, Chloe.  I inherited her from my mom when my mom had to go into a nursing home.  Both are gone now.

 I understand why Anna is the supervisor right now. As far as the court knows, she wasn't privy to his behavior(I mean this one, not his past). I don't think right now anyone has the right to say she can't supervise (do they?? I don't know, I'm not a lawyer, I don't know how this works). But if CPS or whoever is digging into this family now, I really hope they take their religious beliefs into account. Anna can't supervise her supervisor. And that's what Josh is according to their faith. They need to take into account her lack of a backbone, her stubborn insistence on standing by him, and the fingers in her ears as she screams "LA LA LA". Maybe I'm wrong, maybe Anna will finally get her head out of the sand but I'm not hopeful.

I don't care what anyone's feelings are towards Anna, nor do I wish to debate, but a third party supervisor needs to happen here. A court appointed one, not a family friend that sips the same flavor koolaid. Once that happens I'll feel a bit better about Josh's (temporary) freedom.

Allowing Anna to supervise Josh is like asking my dog to supervise my cheeseburger. Zero willpower.

I’m sorry for your loss ?. Our Shih Tzu is named Biscuit and he’s a very good boy.  His brother Rocco is a stinker but very sweet.

In a perfect world, this would be true. However, Josh sexually abused his own sisters and they still let their kids be around him. I wish they would all disown him after this and I can’t imagine standing by someone who is charged with these horrific crimes, but I won’t be surprised if they continue to show support for him and spout their “God changed his heart” bullshit.

I'm pretty disturbed by the statement of the wife of the custodial couple who will watch Josh said about their decision to take him in: “My husband has made the decision and I’m here to support that decision.”

Their patriarchal abuse really knows no bounds in their culture. It should have been a red flag for the court that this woman clearly has no say over a child molester coming into her home. She is just doing whatever her husband, in collusion with Jim Bob, says.

I've been following for days and not saying much. I can't say anything that everyone else hasn't said. I can't recall the last time just the sight of a person's face triggered instant rage like his does.

The pet pics are awesome! Here's my sweet girl. She was half starved and desperate for a home when she found us - she literally walked through our back door back in November and found a spot next to my husband on the couch. She's been with us ever since.

Maybe someone already answered this but on the last thread someone asked about Anna being his accountability partner.

Usually the way Covenant Eyes and other programs like that work is it’s a filter downloaded to all devices. It will flag content and send a list to a designated accountability partner - he idea being it’s a deterrent and the partner could reach out immediately if something was flagged. Sometimes it will send a whole browser history to the partner. It is looking for key words or site types to flag.

It also sometimes has blocking software so a user can’t access certain types of sites. 

Of course it’s imperfect and a user can get around it. Certainly if Josh was using Tor, those results were not being reported to whomever his accountability partner was. In evangelical circles it’s sometimes the wife as accountability but more often than not another man with maybe the wife seeing reports too. I’d guess Jim Bob would also be getting those reports. 
 

In my opinion  the filter is maybe a help for a tween supervised online or an adult really committed to avoiding porn. It’s easy to work around - the easiest way a to have a secret device that isn’t registered with the program...you don’t even have to be tech savvy to do that!
