Fizzy shit blizzard made my day. I love you B.

Also, agreed entirely. One tedious suck monkey can ruin my day. I can’t imagine tons of them.

And your use of tedious suck monkey made mine.

Tedious suck monkey's fizzy shit blizzard would be an awesome count title name.

I'm going to propose it in the appropriate thread.

Is it wrong that I’m seriously considering changing mine to this?

But, @Destiny, you are one of the people who protects us from TSMFSBs! You can't also be one!

I'm tired and I know more than a bit punchy, but that title is just bloody hilarious to me.

I have some probably misguided hope that some people who might have thought of going next week have paid attention to what has happened to the people identified.

If they have even a sliver of rational thinking they can see that the insurrectionists are not being lauded as national heroes but instead are being jailed and losing their employment when they need to work to pay for lawyers. Dreams of glory won’t keep them out of jail.

I was listening to the Moyer on Democracy podcast and the most recent ep features a psychologist who was talking about what happens when the cult realises that Trump doesn't care about them and is hanging them out to dry. Basically she said there is likely two options - they come out of it, go through an adjustment  period  and then become vehemently anti-trump, or they double down and go in deeper. The latter group are likely to be scary, whereas the former are probably quietly rethinking that state Capitol protest idea and working instead.

Oh, it is wonderfully funny. It also would make a great actor's warm up.

And we have Corey Feldman and CC Deville to thanks for the phrases respectively.

So, my right-wing sister has switched over to Gab. I feel like stalking her but am afraid to do a deep dive. I don't want her to recognize me and don't want to get outed. Does anyone have an account with Gab? Is Trump using that platform? I'm curious what it's like over there.

I have one. The servers are so overwhelmed with the massive increase in traffic that there is lots of downtime and slow loading. I've hardly been able to see anything there because I can barely get logged in.

Update: I just got logged in and poked around a bit. Lots of major conspiracy theories, distrust and rage at mainstream media outlets, fear of the baby-killers dragging us into socialism, etc. Pretty much what you would expect. That's from the people with big followings, though. I don't know what regular people are doing there because I don't want anyone there to know who I am so I haven't made connections.

Sure, low rent Alicia Silverstone. Just as soon as you return all the money you made both on the original filming and residuals, agree to remove the credits from your IMDb and your acting resume, never refer to those roles (which very likely helped you get better roles in the future especially as John Hughes had major influence in the industry), and allow us the perfect joke of having Hillary Clinton reshoot the roles and be digitally inserted for future showing/sales. I think Jon Cryer, Matthew Broderick, and John Hughes would all happily approve and those of us for whom the movies were our teenage years backdrops would applaud.

Bless his heart

Quote

A California man is suing Twitter and two progressive congresswomen in connection with President Donald Trump's suspension from the social media platform, citing "overbearing pain and suffering."

In the complaint filed in a U.S. District Court in California on Tuesday, Erik Estavillo argued that he and every "follower that was, without a doubt, emotionally and mentally damaged as a result of the Presidents' ban" is entitled to $88.7 million each.

Estavillo, who is representing himself, is also seeking the reinstatement of Trump's account and a retaliatory Twitter ban on Representatives Alexandria Ocasio-Cortezand Ilhan Omar, who, he argues, promote "Eastern communist philosophies."

The plaintiff claims that because of various health problems, including depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder and Crohn's syndrome, Estavillo has "no friends" and can rarely leave the house. As a result, the complaint says, he heavily relies on Twitter to participate in political discourse.
