I can answer that.  If Biden doesn't get PA or GA, he would need both AZ and NV.

Thank you.  I misread that as NV couldn't finish until after AZ, rather than that Biden needs both (if he doesn't get others).  I clearly need wine before reading.

Sean Hannity just called the election an unmitigated disaster ?

He also wants a do-over election in PA.

I feel like I'm 8 years old playing foursquare in the school yard.  "That one didn't count!  Do-over! No fair.  Do-over!"

These people have no shame.

Ok, so cheese grits for GA, cheesesteak of course for PA,  maybe some chimichangas for AZ, and... ...a casino buffet and comped drink for Nevada?

I sure hope North Carolina's state food is the Alka-Seltzer...

Gotta be carne asada tacos. It's the only way to appease the Zonie gods.

Seriously? What a wanker.  He thinks he can bully his way to get what ever he wants.   I swear he down played COVID because he thought he could wish it away

I'm in PA. I will gladly wait more than two hours (like I did on Tuesday) to vote for Biden again.

Think about it.  This is what he's done all of his life.  He's bullied his way through and threatened to sue people.  He's never really lost.  Even the bankruptcies were palatable because they were tax write-offs and usually he used other people's money anyway.  He gets non-disclosure agreements and he pays people off.  If they take him to court, he just pays more lawyers until the plaintiff can't afford to sue him anymore.  He has always refused to lose.  I'm not sure he can even process this.

More than that, people voted against Trump more than they voted for Biden.  Eighty million people just gave him the big old middle finger.

North Carolina needs you to get some sun drop, fried liver mush and some BBQ for good measure.  Maybe make a banana pudding. ?

And a Carolina style hamburger: chili, slaw, onions and mustard.

Ooh and don’t forget a large glass of Cheerwine with your meal! That’s my guilty pleasure drink!

Mr. Colbert would want to know what kind of barbecue sauce we are putting on all of that Carolinian food. It's a big issue between NC and SC. He will also help us understand the Electoral College:

If it's NC BBQ, it must be vinegar-based.  I never had it till I moved down here but now I love it.

Nate Silver posted about an hour ago on how he feels about the remaining states. The [redacted]'s are "should have already been called for Biden". He's been pretty clear about that on the live analysis.

if you think the vote counts are taking too long I need you to remember how shitty you felt two nights ago at this time, multiply it by about ten trillion, and remember every minute this goes on that’s how donald trump feels

I noticed that, as well. As much as I want Trump's lead narrowed, then gone, it would have been fun if it was right on 1776 for a while.

With the diff being 1775 that means Joe needs 1776 to overtake his lead.  I think that's kinda beautiful.

Trump lead dropped to ~26K in PA.

A little T.S. Eliot?  Do I dare disturb the universe? Do I dare to eat a peach?

IDK- My birthday is always within a week of the Ohio State-Michigan football game, and my birthday wish is always for Ohio State to beat Michigan. I said I'd skip my wish this year and not say mean things about Michigan if it went blue and Biden won.

MSNBC just had Ruben Gallego on. Congressman from AZ. He’s confident that future dumps are going to favor Biden heavily. He won his district by 50 points when he ran, so I’m hoping he knows his area and the confidence is founded!

I lived in Arizona for 16 years. While I know it is getting a bit more blue, I still remember the state house Republican supermajority days, so I don't have the hope I'd like to. With at least 4 military installations (and retired military who quite often live in the area), it still wouldn't surprise me if Arizona flips. I'm praying another state does its job, so we don't need Arizona.

I'm bleary-eyed and stressed from refreshing my browser every 5 minutes all. day. long.  But tonight I started watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer with my teenage daughters, and it was the perfect distraction. Apparently the 90s hair and fashion is now cool again, which I didn't realize because I'm only ever cool by accident.

Anyway, I'm off to bed and for the first time since Tuesday I may actually sleep. Hopefully tomorrow we can all celebrate the end of this shit show. Thank you for keeping me sane over the last couple of days.

By the way, I also need to credit @GreyhoundFan for my sanity. Thank you for posting all of your updates, political cartoons, and political ads. I have really appreciated you throughout the last 4 years.

I'm hoping we won't need any more waiting threads. If we do, I was thinking Will we have a president before January 20?

I like the earlier suggestion of something like Counting On slower than the Duggars

A few years ago (ok, like 10 years ago shhh I'm not old) we had an Australian election with a hung parliament - i.e. neither major party won enough votes, and needed to rely on coalitions with smaller parties and independents to form government. It came down to three seats with independents and which way they would throw their support, and they took a week or so to decide (after the count itself taking a few days to finalise). There was a website you could check on - doesaustraliahaveagovernmentyet.com and when you went there it was literally a big black page that said "No." until the independents announced who they were siding with and then it said "Yes." I'm starting to feel like instead of refreshing CNN I need a "has the election been called yet" equivalent.

I'm quietly horrified that Trump has received 6.6 million (so far) more votes than he did in 2016. WTF, people?
