Bro Gary Hawkins 8: F is for Felony and No Longer Funny

VaSportsMom

Recommended Posts

I just watched the angry video and then the one about church where he's seen all the childrens set through service. Back in the day when I was a Baptist there were programs for the different age groups. I feel bad for the poor kids that have to sit through the long ass services. It must be so boring for them!

I also hope it wasn't an FJer who called. That's kind of not cool. Has Pickles picked up on Bro Gary? I know she recently discovered Jill Rod. I feel like FJ is above those kinds of things, you know?

He's so breathtakingly stupid and frighteningly unstable. I would never call him, not ever. Just the thought of being so close to him, or his voice so personally in my ear, gives me the cold shivers.

I'm back in college right now, taking some medical classes, and recently learned about the brain. I think Gary is lacking a lot of his cerebral cortex. He is just dumber than a bag of hair, and strikes me as a tyrant to boot. I can feel myself physically recoil every time I look at his smug mug. I will never understand how Becky does it.

I have often wondered who is more pitiful ... a repulsive, ignorant, illiterate religious zealot with a sexual criminal past who lives strictly by begging or a woman who would marry and stay with him?

Folks Someone sure angered Gary and did you know he goes to Church!! Mornin noon and nite is where you’ll find the good bro. I really doubt a Fjer would call him. We’re obeservers and commentators not instigators ya know. At least thats how I see it.

Wait, I'm confused. How is he voting?

;)

Actually I do wonder how he voted being so far away.  I do not think he has been home in several weeks.  I don’t know when North Carolina mails out absentee ballots or how he got one while on the road

Maybe it's just me, but when I'm shopping at the Walmarts I kind of just want to shop.

How do they choose the people that they assume are unsaved? People like me with dyed hair and tattoos and piercings?

It angers and confuses me how many commenters I see on my local News pages saying similar things to what Bro says. ‘Vote red’ ‘trump is making America great’’giving us our rights back’ huh?? ‘Vote trump orstay home’ that’s a lovely one. I just need this election over. I can’t even laugh at this dude knowing half my country is full of ignorance and hate.

Yeah, what he means is freedom for white cis men.

My white cis father is a Dumpster supporter, too. (Lololol, that was autocorrect, but I am leaving it!)

My white cis mother supports the Dumpster fire too. It makes me sick. I honestly just don't even know what to do anymore. It's definitely affected how close I feel to her, and we always were extremely close, and this breaks my heart. I've done everything I can think of to talk sense into her. But ultimately she knows I'll love her no matter what, and she knows her dumbass parents' and sisters' love is more conditional, so she went with them. Eventually I'll make it even more clear how much she's seriously damaging her relationship with me, my daughter, and my little sister. We all love her forever but this fucking hurts. A lot.

Girl, most of my family supports him; it's not just my dad. It's my mom, and my brother and my SIL, and my dad's entire side of the family. My favorite aunt is liberal, though, because her oldest son is gay.

I tend to be pretty moderate in my voting, as I think there's a lot of government overreach, especially on the local level (Clark County, Washington is incredibly, incredibly intrusive!), but I still have trouble believing that...that...THING is actually the President. It takes my breath away. He's revolting, and I wouldn't have voted for him with a gun to my head.

My father and his sister are most outspoken about it. I posted a picture I took of my signed ballot envelope on Facebook, and my wildly pro-Trump aunt, who doesn't have the slightest clue how stupid and insane she is, commented something about how she hopes I'm my father's daughter.

Well. I am related to him but that doesn't mean I agree with him. I didn't vote for a single Republican. My only regret was that I hadn't taken a picture of the actual ballot before I sealed the envelope.

Fuck all of them for not seeing the damage they're doing. I love my family but I don't like a lot of them right now.

I deleted her comment. Just no.

It's just hard to overlook the hate they are spreading. Even if you know they aren't hateful themselves. My mom is an extremely loving person. She couldn't be closer to my daughter, who is brown and bisexual. My mom works with kids, most of whom are both immigrants (or their parents are) and have special needs, and she is so loving to them. And I'm going to be honest, some of these kids aren't so easy to love. Some of them are violent teenagers who are bigger and stronger than my mom. One of them hurt her so badly that she had to take off work for several weeks and get physical therapy (I don't think he was trying to hurt her, but he got very upset and didn't know his own strength). Some do gross things that I won't go into detail about. She still treats these kids with such kindness and speaks of them with fondness. So how could she support this hatefulness? I have absolutely no idea. It bothers me every day.

@PumaLover Wal-mart is my second home- I am actually just about to walk out the door to head that way.  I know most of the cashiers on a first name basis.

IF Bro. Haymayun made as much as a peep to me about Jesus, I would personally see that he was escorted out for harassing customers.

When I am there, it's to buy what I need, and get the hell out.  Not to be bothered by some ignorant, shrieking fool, trying to peddle his religion.

Oh, and I forgot to say that my 18-year-old just voted for the first time. She was so cute about researching everything so she would know how to vote. I am so proud of her. Unfortunately, Goodspaceguy wasn't running for anything this time around, so she couldn't vote against him this time around (seriously, that's the LEGAL name of a guy who is constantly running for various offices here. Google it.)

@EmiGirl,  in some states convicted felons can vote after they've served their sentences.  I think that usually means the entire sentence.  If they get out early on parole, it lasts till the sentence was due to end.  I don't think they have their voting right restored if they're on probation after serving hard time either.

There's a real problem with permanently denying convicted felons the right to vote since their is such a high number of black men who are incarcerated.

I'm pretty sure that SC is one of those states where ex-cons get their voting rights restored if they've served out their sentences.

Oh, I hear you! My parents are both retired teachers, and both worked for 20-ish years (dad) to 33 years (mom) in a small school district in rural Texas. White people, at that time (we haven't lived there since right after I graduated high school in '93) were barely a majority due to the Hispanic population, and my mother was an early childhood teacher working with special needs little ones as young as 3 years old.

I mean, these were mostly Hispanic and black children, and she adored them. ADORED them! I got so sick of listening to her (as a rotten teenager). So it blows my mind.

And my dad knows I was raped by my wretched ex-husband when I was only 20. He hated my ex. Both my parents did! And yet they are firm supporters of Cheeto. I just...don't understand. I get not liking Hillary. I was giving her side-eye myself. But actively supporting Trump makes zero sense to me. Zero. He's like the actual worst ever.

My heart goes out to you.

Eta: actually, after some thought, Sessions is the worst ever, and I hope someone pushes him off a cliff into a pile of rotten meat and dirty needles. Then Pence, then Cheeto.

He's top 3 worst ever, though.

It was a big deal around the Briefly household when our daughter was able to vote for the first time.  She's 26 now so she's voted a few times, I am very proud of her today.  She drove about half an hour to the polling place with a killer migraine just to vote.

Mr. Briefly and I are not on the same side of the aisle when it comes to politics.  It has caused issues at times, but we've finally just stopped talking politics for the most part.  His mother, who I love dearly, is rabidly pro-cheeto.  Which makes no sense because she was actually an early feminist.  But she seems to have forgotten how hard she had to fight to even get credit in her name when her first husband abandoned her.  She keeps saying that "all that stuff is over now and it's all fine."  Even when my daughter and I both give her firm examples.  Her sister, Mr. Breifly's aunt, is even worse.  She's the one I delete facebook comments from.  Even my niece, who doesn't even know the aunt, has had to get after the aunt on my facebook page.

Mr. Briefly's sister's husband just left me a comment on my facebook post about hoping to see a blue wave:  Are you crazy?

The Briefly daughter offered to verbally eviscerate him, and she is her mother's daughter so she's well capable of it.  I told him that I am not crazy, but that I am a woman who has been mistreated because of that and that I am not willing to sit by and see others mistreated because of gender, nationality, beliefs, sexual identity or skin color.  I do not like my sil's husband and nobody else does, but he's welcome to his own opinions.  Just not on my page!

I unashamedly delete any rude comments anyone leaves on my page. I don't leave rude comments on anyone's stuff. If I disagree, I just scroll on by. I feel like others should show me the same courtesy, so if they don't, I delete.

I should note that things I post aren't inflammatory like GHaw and JillRod's judgy bullshit. There's no excuse for anyone to be rude to me, so I don't tolerate it.

I can't understand it either. And I'm so sorry to hear that you were raped by your ex-husband. My mom knows that both my sister and I have been raped too, and it kills her. Yet she is seemingly unable to draw a line between what happened to us and the society that makes violence against women so extremely common.

Great job to your daughter, and I'm sorry to hear about her migraine! We have all-mail elections in WA now, so we don't have to leave the house like savages (lol) and just recently we even made it so the postage is paid, so we didn't even have to spend a stamp.

Well, at least Goodspaceguy sounds like a better candidate than the perennial candidate who changed his name to Pro-Life. (Both links are Wikipedia. Sorry, but I don't have time to look for a better source.) I bet Bro Gary would luv to vote for a man named Pro-Life.

Omg, who would have thought I could actually prefer Goodspaceguy over someone? At least Goodspaceguy is an interesting name. Pro-Life is just idiotic. At least name yourself Yayfetus or something.

@Coy Koi, I just read that Pro-Life was running for the US House of Representatives this election as a Constitutional Party candidate. With 62% of precincts reporting, he has 1980 votes. (0.9% of the votes) The Republican candidate is the projected winner in that race. Better if the Democratic candidate won, but at least it isn't the wackadoodle. :my_sad:
