This is how Alex tried to 'splain it away when confronted on air by a listener: “I saw a couple of news articles about that, it’s ridiculous. I was like looking up some reporter we’re trying to hire today and punched in some number and it popped up porn on my phone. Everybody has had porn pop-up on their phone, hundreds of times. So I’m sitting there with a phone on air, showing it to everybody, cause I couldn’t get a URL up in the studio, and then like some thing pops up and oh my god. And I looked at it and it wasn’t — the news blurred it out because it was nothing there. They blurred it to then say something was there, and then you went to it and it was some porn menu. I probably had porn menus pop up 500 times on my phone, so I appreciate your call. It’s insane ladies and gentlemen.”

I know, right?  Crazy porn menus show up on my phone all the time ----- NOT, because I don't watch porn on my phone.  And as many commenters on the Mediaite article noted, that's not how it works.  He didn't have a pop-up porn ad, he had an open tab with porn.  I think this will die away for the time being, but I don't think this is the end of it.

Here's some more details on the Jones/Rubio blowup

The tweet that @AmazonGrace posted has a part where Rubio says he doesn't know who Jones is. I'm no fan of Rubio, but watching him stick a pin in Jones' ego while Jones bellows about his stupid show was highly entertaining.

It occurred to me yesterday that Alex Jones might be taking steroids.  Sometime this year he posted a selfie showing himself all buffed up and the guy is certainly a screamer.      

But here's the irony.  Alex Jones is pissing and moaning about being "censored" when in reality he wasn't conforming to the terms of service for youtube and FaceBook; his podcasts have been removed from iTunes and Spotify.   He may be carrying on about Google results as well, but I'm not sure about that. 

And Rubio:  "I don't know who you are, man!"  Priceless.

Twitter has just removed accounts trying to circumvent  Alex Jones' and Infowars' previously banned accounts.   Jones had 900,000 followers on Twitter and Infowars had about 430,000.

And Alex Jones was yelling at (horse?) shit on the pavement outside the Ted Cruz rally in Houston yesterday.  And no, I'm not making this up.  Great twitter thread:

I checked her twitter account and on occasion (i.e., often), she goes off the rails -- not ranting, but the post itself is incoherent.  Either she needs a twitter editor (tweeditor?) or maybe she's indulging in something. 

Apparently, she has a media background and helped start InfoWars, and she apologizes for that.
