Lori Alexander 16: Protecting Men's Jobs from the Assaults of Women

I followed that link and when I got there I realized I recognize the site. Lori linked to it a couple of weeks ago, to an article where both husbands and wives are called to love the wayward spouse, as Christ loved the Chuch.

I just googled to find the stupid breaking the sheep's leg illustration which I had heard a million times during my years at Christian school. Lucked into one that also says how stupid it is. I had never seen the site before.

@louisa05, I'd never heard that sheep's leg illustration before reading it in that comment by Dave or Trey.  It's a sickening picture, but I'm learning that these people love anything that seems sick to a normal thinking and feeling human.

This is the post. Lori linked to it from her Facebook page and her blog. http://pulpitandpen.org/2014/11/26/when-a-husband-loves-an-evil-fornicating-faithless-wife/

Here's the quote that I find most troubling:

Quote

His love is the example that we are to emulate. We are never pointed to ourselves as the standard, but rather to him.

This means that even when your wife or husband is likewise exhaustively unfaithful, cruel, hurtful, adulterous, messy, spiteful, unforgiving, unrepentant, and bruising in their betrayals over a period of weeks, months, years, decades, that you love them still and treat them as Christ does. Will Christ break his covenant? Will he cease to pray for her? Will he cease to woo and draw her back? Will he cease to seek to cleanse and wash her? Will he cease to forgive her? Will he abandon his bride?

When you find your wife in bed with another man, or when you find porn all over his computer, or when everything he does disappoints you, or when his inability to spend money wisely is causing your hair to fall out, or when you can’t relate or understand each other anymore, or when you haven’t had sex in over a year, or when your child is murdered and you blame each other, or when every word is a spiteful twist of the knife and you can’t stand the sight of each other and find yourself begging God to release you from this marriage.

Will you love your wife like Christ loves the Church, or will you love your wife like the Church Loves Christ?

Do you see what he did? "Love your wife as Christ loved the Church" has been extended to "love your spouse as Christ loved the Church". But "wives submit to your husbands as the Church submits to Christ" will never, ever be extended to "husbands and wives, submit to one another as the Church submits to Christ".

Lori, Ken and the fanboys + partners need to divorce asap for everyone's good.

Lori needs to be with someone who likes bdsm role play. None of this submission for real crap, as it's bloody obvious she's not submissive to anyone, least of all Ken.

Ken needs a house keeper and a blow up sex doll, that way he can have his meals cooked and sex on demand. He could get a new and improved version every year, and dress it up in thongs or yoga pants.

If they are married, I worry greatly for the fanboys partners. Some of the comments raise massive red flags. THey don't want a wives, they want slaves that 'belong' to them.

I don't for one minute believe that Lori would live her life the way she encourages women to yet she spurs these vile men on, feeding their evil tendencies. I don't think it's anything more than a sex game to her, but somewhere along the line, she's going to get someone seriously hurt

I agree. Lori hasn't lived the life she "prescribes" to all other women, and her support of those vile men is the most sickening aspect of her so-called ministry.

Is he aware that male medical professionals can also be exposed to nude women and women behaving inappropriately?

And isn't Lori constantly going on about how little control men have over their eyes and groinal areas?

So if women shouldn't be exposed to naked men, then men REALLY shouldn't be exposed to naked women.

(Never mind that medical nudity -- or nudity in a medical environment -- is not even remotely sexy, and any medical professional with even the slightest understanding of appropriate ethical and professional boundaries is going to be crossing any lines).

Her whole Oprah vs. Michelle Duggar thing is like something a high school mean girl would do. Why do the two have to be compared, other than to provide Godly Lori a chance to trash another woman?

She literally set that up so she could lead her readers into tearing Oprah down.  How ridiculous is that?

When she originally posted it, a reader called her on it.  She totally ignored her. This is a game for her.  Makes me sick.

Reader:

Quote

I think it's strange to compare these 2 women. They have chosen different paths, and both are admirable in their own way. Why must you put down all the good that Oprah has done because according to you, Michelle has done more? It seems really weird to me. They've both chosen different paths, and done well at it. I made more contributions than my friend Sam, but that doesn't mean I'm going to put down Sam's contributions. It just seems really weird, and bizarre.

What good has Michelle honestly done?? Sorry to use a cliched example but I can't see Michelle giving away cars to a studio audience.

Michelle isn't even fit to clean the shit off Oprah's shoes.

It's pretty shitty to rag on Oprah for not having children, given that she had an infant son who passed away.

Lori did the Oprah vs. Mullet Duggar stuff back in 2013. I think as long as Duggar related shows are on TV, Lori will continue to defend them and will do the same comparisons of the Duggars vs______ over and over again.

This is the same woman who rags on her own daughter, who has fertility issues, for not having children. Lori Alexander is hateful.

I think I've got Lori's reasoning for why Michelle is better.

Michelle covered up her son's repeated molestation of 5 young girls, including 4 of her own daughters.

Oprah heard of this and reported it to the correct authorities.

Ken and Lori Alexander think molestation and incest are totally normal. Therefore who the hell does that Oprah think she is messing with such a Godly family.

Evil attracts evil and all that..

Lori's new post about "jezebels" reaches new heights (depths?) of bitterness, frustration, jealousy and spite, imho.  Basically, pretty much all women Bible teachers (who are more successful than she is) are heretics or whatever.  Sour grapes, anyone?

God doesn’t want women preaching and teaching the Word of God.

Then Lori should shut down her blog or turn it over to Ken.

A reader says:

Quote

Dear Lori,
How timely your message is for me today! I have been following an older woman teacher for quite some time, but have felt a certain disquiet in my heart as of late. After reading your latest message I have realized that this teacher is in fact a Jezebel! She says that she is teaching from the Word of God (and can back up her teaching with Scripture). But when I read between the lines, I realize that she is just spreading gossip, or “grabbing onto falsehoods” as you put it. Moreover, her teachings are geared toward men as well! Indeed a Jezebel.

Blessings!

:pb_lol: I do believe she is referring to Lori.

Well played.  :laughing-rofl:

Another reader simply says:

Quote

1 Tim 5:13 and 2 Thess 3:11

She continues:

Quote

I would not want to be know as a busybody or a gossip!

Again, 99% sure they are talking about the Queen Busybody, or as she is otherwise know, Lori Alexander.

Oh man, her post about John Wayne's supposed upright morality has me in tears. By all accounts, the Duke loved booze and ladies. Oh, and converted to Roman Catholicism.

This showed up on my Facebook feed today because a friend had commented on it. I think Shauna's writing and teaching is similar to Beth Moore. I have not read any of her books but several of my friends follow her.

I hate to falsely accuse anybody but the note she received is VERY interesting considering the topic of Lori's most recent post.

I agree with you, and I am absolutely NOT saying that Lori wrote her...but it does fall in line with her past behavior.

This is, after all, the woman who wanted to call one of her readers after they left a negative review for her Amazon book.  She wrote a letter to her pastor's wife, complaining about her choice in swimwear.  She left notes (PLURAL) on her neighbor's door telling them told them "they better shut that dog up Or Else".

Lori has been growing increasingly jealous of other women teachers.  Women she used to endorse, she now trashes.

I think it absolutely infuriates her that they've had such success.  She, on the other hand, seems to be losing female readers right and left, only to replace them with a few whiny, pathetic, men's right's activists.

The shoe certainly fits...

Lori has liked John Wayne ever since she saw the movie where he spanked a female co-star.

Lori Alexander:

Quote

Ken and I watched an old John Wayne Movie a few months ago. He was married to a very difficult wife. She was always nasty to him. Near the end of the movie, he took her over his knee and spanked her! She behaved herself after this and they were kissing and enjoying each other at the end of the movie. I guess this was a common occurrence in many of the old movies! {Can you imagine a movie like this today? No, instead we get perversity of every kind but if a man acted like John Wayne, he'd be put into prison.}

Interesting how that post was just updated to reflect the latest baby news from Anna and Josh Duggar...

Babieeeeeeeeees. Lots and lots of 'em. What is confusing you about this? :my_biggrin:

But seriously, considering the numerous questionable Duggar charitable/mission activities over the years, I can't see her doing something like that either.

Guess she missed all the womanizing, draft dodging, forcing his mistress to have an abortion, and 20 year affair with Marlene Dietrich. But hey, I guess domestic violence on-screen makes up for all that. Or something. :my_confused:

Are you for real right now???  Comparing Oprah to Michelle Duggar???  Michelle has done absolutely nothing for society.  She isn't off her back enough to be able to help anyone.  Even if money and my health were no issue, I still would not have that many children.  There would come a point I'd be embarrassed for people to think all I did was stay in bed and make babies.

I don't agree with Oprah's theology, but she has done way more to help others than the Duggars.

A quote from her Jezebel post:

Quote

Banes’ Notes on the Bible has this to say about Jezebels: “The kind of character, therefore, which would be designated by the term as used here, would be that of a woman who was artful and persuasive in her manner; who was capable of exerting a wide influence over others; who had talents of a high order; who was a thorough advocate of error; who was unscrupulous in the means which she employed for accomplishing her ends; and the tendency of whose influence was to lead the people into the abominable practices of idolatry.”

Let's apply this checklist to Lori herself.

Artful and persuasive in her manner? Check.

Capable of exerting a wide influence over others? Check.

Talents of a high order? Check, in the light of the first 2 items.

A thorough advocate of error? Check.

Unscrupulous in the means which she employed for accomplishing her ends? Check.

The tendency of whose influence was to lead the people into the abominable practices of idolatry? Check. Her idols aren't as obvious as golden calves, but she has idols aplenty.

Here's the thing- Michelle can't even help her own children.  She has them raising each other.  It's irresponsible.

Lori wants to prattle on about Michelle staying home, but where was she when her youngest had a seizure?  She was halfway across the world, that's where.  It was her siblings who were taking care of her.

I don't know why Lori fan girls this woman so, but her praise is ill placed.  Michelle "mothers" less than any mother I know.  She is merely a breeder.
