I think the counting on episodes were just a way to get us used to the idea of the duggars back on tv.  Now they'll slowly start including more people, then anna and the m's.  Within the year josh will be on. They are just waiting till the general public has lost enough interest. they'll then have the leghumpers, who will eat up the "christianity and jesus saved our marriage" episodes, casual observers, and the haters. There will be few enough haters in the next year that the backlash will be minimal. It's an election year in the states, people are distracted by the trump fiasco. Soon it will be josh? josh who?  

also, 3500 for a tree house?? is this a tree palace? what the hell? I mean, i haven't priced lumber for a treehouse lately, but that better be one lavish tree house.  I'm going to guess tlc is footing that bill. No way jb would pay that much for a treehouse. or anything, maybe.

I have a hard time imagining the show with Joshley's face appearing anywhere on it. The molestations alone make it hard to look at him.....and then the Joshley Madison info as well as now Danica's story. I would be really surprised if he were allowed back on. But I have been surprised before.

i was surprised to see that anna duggar is suddenly trending (in the top spot!) on my fb as a result of this statement. more interest in this than i expected!

Maybe Joshly will live in the treehouse. I wonder if social services will allow him to live in the TTH? And they don't seem to have a spare bedroom.

Re: cost of the treehouse

If it is part of an approved story line, the cost of the supplies could be reimbursed as a production expense.  Might be a small price to pay to create a scenario where they can the scenes they need as quickly as possible.  Ye old tree house has been used on several reality shows.

Josh hasn't made a camera appearance since the molestation scandal broke (correct me if I'm wrong). Can you image looking at his smug face in a new special. TLC and JB are trying to creep him back on camera. I will not be able to look at him, my toe nails will curl (to use a german phrase).

And can someone explain to me why the statute of limitations can run out on child molestation (in repeated cases)?

I have to say that I'm shocked at the reactions here. The molestation and porn accusations have been around for over a decade before anybody took it seriously. Now Danica Dillion comes forward, and people are dismissing and minimizing her story. Am I the only one who sees a pattern with Josh?

1. I'm dismissing her story because when she first came out to the media (not the first time she told her friends or family), she played it off as no big deal. It was only AFTER people started going on about how he abused her that she said "I was abused!" You can't use that "oh well some people take a while to get the truth out because of trauma" excuse because she SOLD the story. It wasn't like someone quoted her and then she came forward with the truth, or like all the people who read the article were her friends and family and she's finally to the point where she can tell the real story. No. She sold that story and then blew it up further when she realized she could make even more money off of it and come that much closer to being a household name.

2. Yet again, we have NO FUCKING PROOF that he has done ANYTHING to harm a child since he was sent away. None. Zero. Zilch. You CANNOT make claims like you know for a fact that he's attacking children regularly. Hell, you can't even make that claim when it comes to women because Danica allowed him to go to her TWICE if you believe her stories. She could have had him kicked out of the club but she didn't. She went with him AGAIN. And, according to her, he apologized for his previous roughness and WAS NOT that way the second time, which shows that he was not purposefully trying to harm her. He, like many people who watch too much porn, probably didn't understand the difference between the acted parts and the real parts and was trying to give her what she was used to; much like a lot of heterosexual guys think that they can just stick it in the anus and get the girl to orgasm right away, not realizing the work that goes into getting someone ready for anal action or that not everyone gets off with it.

I think she's trending because of the other article that links her statement with the pregnancy rumor.

I have no doubt TLC payed for it, and for them that's a negligible cost.  But I've been researching. There are essentially two types of treehouses- the diy, mom and pop fort style, which i'm sure is what they're going for and 2) the professional, you can live in it house.  The lowest pricing I could find for the professionals to come in and build a stellar house was 3,000- and that includes supplies.  Other than an article about a cool tree house built for 300$, and yahoo answers that said a diy tree house generally costs 150-300 in lumber, I couldn't find what people usually pay for a diy treehouse.  So I hit the lowes site to price out lumber.  

If this tree house is cedar, and the highest quality fancy boards out there, than maybe, maybe i can see spending that much for a mega tree house.  However, if they purchased run of the mill spruce, pine, or fir, which is a lot more duggar style, than 3,000 could have easily bought them 1700 boards.  I'm leaving 500 off for hardware stuff.  THAT is a big tree house.  I kind of want to see this monster they are building for 3500.  Because you can easily build a normal sized kids treehouse fort for a few hundred bucks, if your labor is free.

the thought of josh touching anyone makes my skin crawl.  I hope anna's blinders fall off and she can see what the rest of us see, and the sooner the better. Assuming she'd be willing to leave him, otherwise the blinders may be a blessing.

 

apparently, they are filming again, they were filming at a local lumber yard, where they purchased 3500 in lumber for a treehouse. Which is clearly the "plot" of the next episode. For now the episodes seem to be focusing on Jana/John david and some of the little kids.

Agree that Anna may not realize what Josh's return to the family fold really means.   She's been separated for most of the time and only able to see him for limited times and no doubt those times were emotional for her.   But once he's home, things settle down and she faces the trust issues that she's bound to face as a result of taking back a unfaithful and dishonest spouse, I am not sure she will be happy with her lot.  She wants to go back to the way things were, she has said as much which indicates to me she has no idea that life with Josh going forward will not be the same, they are in a "new normal".  In her case, having blinders on might just be the best thing for her.  No, it's not healthy or being honest with herself but people do this in order to survive all the time.

But but they have to make one for the girls with a built in laundry and kitchen and one  for the boys with a rifle range or something like that.  And then a separate one for the M kids, one for absent-Izzy + future sibs and one for Spurgeon+co. Maybe Jana wants her own one too for some private space.
So then we have 6... and if JD wants one shaped like a plane then you have 7 which would account for the amount of wood purchased.

but in all seriousness, i doubt they will allow them to be full houses. platforms, maybe with a roof. They would never allow that much privacy, where private talks between sibs, or shenanigans could take place, would they? JB and m demand a lot of control over their children's personal lives.
