I was thinking last night that we rarely see Jessa holding SES, and neither parent baby wearing thus far.

Wonder if they're too afraid to be seen using the wraps incorrectly? You know they probably have several of them on hand.

we won't see him or Spud's father holding Spud - she won't give her followers the satisfaction - she doesn't want to be like jill

it's a power thing  - she will show endless photos of Spud on someone's lap or on a bed - but holding him - nope not going to happen - unless it;s with Sierra - then she will

I think I've found Jessa's long lost twin. I believe she's a Victoria secret model or something.

If there were a spawn of Jessa and Jill Rodriguesesese, this would be her.

The latest from Jessa's IG because I need to procrastinate on my coursework: Loving the cute overalls on Spurgeon, but I love even more that he's already inherited Jessa's "I hate everyone and everything" face.

I recently saw that film. It killed me.That last rap dance number killed me. They even threw a black guy on it to show how accepting of others they are.

An acquaintance of mine actually bought the movie, I'm not going to lie, I've considered borrowing it from him and getting really drunk and watching it. For a while it had the absolute lowest rating of any movie on IMDB, I don't know if that's still true, but with all the shit out there that's actually pretty impressive.:pb_lol:

"On Bin's twitter he quoted the following from Benjamin Watson (New Orleans Saint TE) "As a nation we have collectively prayed for Paris this week, yet as a nation we suspend a football coach for praying after a game...we must choose." "

Aha! They have a TV.

Ahhh, no Christmas is complete without hearing Linus quoting Luke...

Maybe they just wanted to watch it and it was not on TV so they watched it from one of the many sites online?

How do they explain the no tv but internet is okay thing?  I mean sure they spout about limiting internet access to wholesome stuff...but you can limit tv the same way.  Why is one an abomination and the other fine?  Can't be the time suck because that applies to both and you can limit that, too.

Seems to me they just want the internet more and it would be more inconvenient to give it up so they rationalize that it's okay.  But that would mean their rules accommodate what is most convenient for them rather than being handed down in the book of Media Timesucks:  chapter 3 verse 297:  Thou shalt not expose thyself and those thy have begotten (even when there are eleventy-fold and thou forgetteth their names) to mainstream culture of the greater world...unless thy can profit from the hordes of leghumpers.

(see the book of disingenuous chapter 17 vs 9 for the decree allowing followers on social media to be purchased from pr firms because that pleaseth the Lord.

The WTF is of epic proportions. I figure out watching it drunk is even more fun and confusing. Just don't do it alone :pb_lol:

Well the Devil media tries to CONTROL them, TLC had the nerve to limit/cancel their show. Their GODLY show!!!

The only TV that anyone should be watching is...them!!

However the evil scary internet is an severely awesome place to show how incredibly blessed they are, how special a family they are, they have Instagram to show us their amazing snack habits, they have Facebook to allow the dirty masses a place to pay

their respects to the alter of Duggar. They have blog and logs to show us what a great thing that they do at all times of everyday.

Without it how would they receive the bountiful blessings that people want to bestow on them?

Oh the horrors of Door to Door grifting when you are knee deep in South American Christians, I mean heathens that need to hear the word!!

Things are only wrong when you don't want to use them, when you do suddenly they are a tool that as a soldier in Gods army you must, no matter how hard, grasp and use.

I always assumed that they consider the internet a "loophole" of sorts and disguising it as a place where knowledge about Jeebus can be acquired. Loophole because "no TV" had been established before they were born (I remember Boob and Meechelle had one when they first got married then they realized they would be better than anyone else  better off without one so they could focus more on making 298 babies fellowshipping). I also assume their CULTure was all about "no TV" because since its conception TV has been proven to be a wordly distraction. The internet came around later and was the new kid on the block...maybe they didn't quite realize what it was fully about...then they used it for school. Gah I hope someone here understands my line of thinking.

(Sorry for the mushy brain syndrome. It's finals week and I have 2 more exams I need to write this week. Almost there!)

Didn't Smugger buy a big screen TV after he was married? If I were one of those kids, I'd do the same. You can't justify internet = okay. TV = bad. Especially when you can get nudes easier on one of them.

I figure they have some reasoning about choosing what you consume. If you use the internet, you can limit yourself to only the most wholesome of sites, but if you watch the ebil TV, even an otherwise acceptable show could be interrupted with an ad for feminine products, beer, Viagra, or a teaser of what the Liberal Media is going to show on the news at 10. This is probably also their justification for watching DVDs of things like The Andy Griffith Show. No chance of an accidental snippet of secular music during a car commercial that way.

Of course this is only if they bother to think up a justification at all. Pretty much their rules are based on what they feel like doing.

It is extremely easy to use the internet only to find support for your own views.  It is so easy I think most people do it without even realizing that is what they are doing.  TV is more limited, there are fewer channels so things tend to be a little less extreme and it is harder to limit yourself.

you made me laugh. When I was a teenager (and we finally got an ebil tv) I had to change channel when the ads came on because viagra ads are evil and disgusting and clearly from the devil. Sometimes I would be a bit rebellious and turn up the volume when they came on just to wind up the parental units.

They must use a good ad blocker - otherwise they might get some ashley madison ads randomly appearing to defraud the kiddos

Maybe they have an old VHS and record, then ff through the ebil commercials. That's what we do, but not with a VHS.

If their faith was as strong as they purport, they could have both TV and Internet and leave the rest to God.

LOL at the No TV- JB sold his family to TV, just so he wouldn't have to bust his own hump to support them all.

They are as phony as the day is long.

I am waiting for the dirt to come out on JB- I hope it's something financial in nature.

I suspect the TVs are in hiding in all the houses.  How can you have a contract and make eleventy million dollars from a TV network and still believe that TVs are evil?  Well, I mean how  can a person with normal thought process believe that...

How can the parents be advertising a watch party on their FB page for a show that won't be streamed on the internet until after it's shown on TV?

I don't believe that they don't have TV.  I'm sure that at one time they didn't have a TV (pre-specials), but the no-TV bit is just for show.  :pantsonfire:

[I once was at a book club meeting where a prissy new member announced that they had covered their tv and didn't watch them-or allow their kids to watch TV anymore--to which another member offered to take them off her hands!]

Even if they don't want to buy cable, a TV monitor is great for hooking your computer up for movies on a larger screen or double-monitoring. (I'm thinking of buying a second monitor to make dissertation writing easier -- keep my sources on one monitor and my document I'm writing in on the other) They could have easily snagged a basic flat screen for under 100 dollars and saved themselves and Jessa's sibs a lot of eye strain.

I agree with this. They talk a good talk but when actually following the talk it is a sham. They have TVs. Michelle has stated they all watch their shows together and that is a hell of a lot of TV watching just watching their shows. I think JB just talks out of his ear and has no idea how stupid he sounds. He is supporting his family on TV so yes, you own a TV. Plus, what else would smarm be watching all his porn films on? His phone or computer? I see a big screen TV in that smam's house. I am sure he wants to see the visuals as life like as he can.

The Duggars(x2) and Dillards have TV. In a people magazine interview The Seewalds said they were considering buying a tv. The Duggars have never said "no tv allowed". The had a small tv in the first season( I remember kids watching their parents be interviewed) We've seen the Duggars watch tv.

ETA: I don't think have cable. In the past, the Duggars watched their show at Deanna's house. They definitely have a tv
