Based on JimBobs hints at the end of this video, I suspect there might be some more courtships in the works...

I've been wondering the same thing! I really really hope he's moved out. Dating on the sly. Having buddies over for a beer....

I remember this being discussed on another thread. The consensus was that he probably lives in the same warehouse that Ben lived in pre-marriage.

What I think is interesting is that there is talk about how weird it is for JD to possibly be sharing a room w his younger siblings, but not Jana who is same age and has a group of even younger siblings that she has to shack up w. Even nannies get a break, but not sistermoms evidently.

Just watched that video. When Me-chelle said that she couldn't believe people were interested in watching them do their laundry or wash dishes, my eyebrows nearly flew off the top of my forehead.

People are WAITING for them to do laundry (and give Grandma Mary a break) and eat off proper crockery that can ACTUALLY be washed. J-Boob also said that he asked that TLC always show their faith and beliefs. Well, that has been watered down over the years. Anyone coming in new to the series would be hard pressed to know what their faith and belief system really is now. They have been pushing it further and further into the background of late, keeping the Gothardism on the down low.

It's quite likely that one or two of the older kids is getting to know someone. I wonder how many times the Duggars had a "special friend" that didn't make it to courtship.

Did anyone else catch Pickles baby sling comment on Good Morning America this morning? Liked that the segment gave instructions on the proper use of baby slings.

"Gothard? Who's that? ....uh pay no attention to that man behind the curtain!" A little long, but not only is it a great title, it is the entire summary of the family.

Meet the Duggars! Procreating and embarrassing the US since 1980 something.

Who cares about the actual year, it's not like they know when their kids were born either.

Or... Duggar Dynasty. Tagline: meet the family that made a fortune through exploiting religion and children on TLC

Join us in our new series where the Duggars show us the best pregnancy tests in America. How to side hug properly and what hand sex really is. Follow Jessa and Ben on their mission trip to Vatican and be live at Jill's site when she gives birth to the worlds biggest baby in a 100 hour labour. Special episode: Michelle tells us how to quilt your own blanket, perfect for training your little monsters.

Or short: "One flew over the Duggar's nest".

I hope he has moved out. It just seems somewhat degrading to be 25, not allowed to leave home, and having to share a room with a bunch of teen boys. Sucks worse for Jana, at least JD has his own bed, but with the amount of beds in the room, she probably shares with a buddy.

I feel bad for the kids. No privacy, kids running around everywhere, theyre probably not allowed to lock their small siblings out for a bit when they want to be alone because that would be "selfish", small siblings getting into their stuff, nowhere to have a wank (and all the shame associated with masturbation in their culture).

I'm curious about Jill and that sling. I'm assuming no one has corrected her at the conf bc I don't think anyone there would dare. But let's say word gets to her that the public is saying something and she realises that maybe babies to like to breathe. Would she correct it thereby showing the world she and her family don't know any better & that public sways them or will they just chalk it up to the world doesn't have as much experience wearing babies as the Duggars?

He mentions Marjorie, Isreal and baby Benessa, but no mention of Anna's 4th. I feel bad for Anna.

Ugh, the lack of dishes. In the People makeover video, Michelle said she loves bling but can't wear it as often as she would like because her hands are always in dishwater. Do they even own any dishes? We've seen so many paper plates over the years, I'm beginning to wonder.

In another thread I read a Duggar in-law's (Josh McDonald, married to Anna's sister Rebekah) complaints about the way TLC treated him and the Kellers during Anna's wedding, which was what, six years ago? It was a nice reminder of how TLC has ideas about what they want to portray on the show and what they ask the families to do to have plot points, such as they are, in an episode. What if TLC has asked the Duggars to use paper plates on filming days because paper plates is a Duggar "thing" now. Or, maybe the Duggars use paper plates when they're shooting because there are more people around than normal and it's just easier.

My point being, that, theoretically, they could be using dishes when cameras aren't rolling (and naturally there are always pots and pans to wash). But Michelle isn't washing them, and we know damned well Jim Bob isn't either. Wear all the bling you want, Michelle; we know you're not putting your hands in dishwater. It occurs to me now that Michelle is playing right into TLC's hands with comments like that. If she says something that doesn't jibe with what we see on the show, we assume she's lying or delusional. If she says something that does correspond with what we've seen, we roll our eyes. I'm beginning to have a tiny tiny amount of sympathy for her. She is still a terrible parent who has failed her children, and so is Jim Bob. They suck.

ETA JB&M still suck.

I really hope she will take the correction. It seems like half of what they do is a response to internet criticism. Scott, find some way to make this happen. We know TLC reads here.

Well dishes could include the pots and pans used to cook food. We've also seen the older girls instagram lunches on real plates, so they do own them.

But Michelle is a liar, I highly doubt that if their were dishes to be done she would be doing them. (I also think it's fairly commen for children in average households to be in charge if dishes, but their parents don't lie about it)

Just showing Jana feeding peas out of a can to one of the howlers.

These early episodes should be required watching for new fj members.... :D

Wow, that's just made me realise that some people see the Duggars as glamorous! That is so funny. I don't know why I didn't see that. Bonkers!

Yeah. I joined this site a week ago and was able to post a new topic immediately but then found myself in a new rule/old rule change the next day and finally reached the 75 minimum responses needed to post my next new topic so I wanted to play a game.

Wait - I thought they got the industrial dishwasher for the mountain of dishes they allegedly have? Oh wait this is Michelle, she lives in fantasy land - or whatever is going to sound good on teevee.

GMA consulted w their own baby sling expert who confirmed the correct way of wearing that type of sling (sorry Jill you're wearing it wrong). They also consulted a dr who discussed suffocation risks. "Jill Dillard declined to comment when ABC News contacted her for this story." They didn't say they couldn't reach her, so that implies she got the message, tho I doubt they got Jillymuffin's # on speed dial. I wonder what's going thru her head now. Maybe a comment will be issued by JB or Michelle saying the internet needs to stop bullying new moms.

This is probably the first time in Jilly Muffin's life that she has been reprimanded.

I remember an episode from an earlier season, where JB and Michelle are discussing a book they "co-wrote" and the photographs they chose to include. There was a shot of them discussing one picture and Michelle doesn't want it included (or does, I can't remember which). JB wants the opposite of whatever Michelle wants in this regard, and in the end, gives in to her wishes. He says something like "Michelle is the sweetest person I know, but she has a stubborn streak."

I think Jilly is like her mother, in which she's consumed so much kool-aid, that she really does feel like her family is super special, and she's one of the specialist of all. However, she has not mastered the "keeping sweet" facade that Michelle has always had. In addition to having a stubborn streak, she seems rather humorless. In the "how well do you know your spouse" game, she couldn't just laugh off a wrong answer. She had to make a reason why the answer wasn't wrong, or the problem was the way the question was phrased, etc.

So I imagine she is none too pleased to be found publicly wrong for how she wore the baby sling. How dare people question her knowledge of all things baby! Why, she studied midwifery! She's been present at many births! Don't tell her she doesn't know how to take care of a baby. I bet she had "no comment." Now, will she defiantly continue to wear the sling incorrectly, will she discard it altogether and pretend the whole thing didn't happen, or will she accept that sometimes she doesn't know the right way to do things and learn from this mistake?
