I've never actually watched that. I remember being really underwhelmed by the ads/promos when it was on.

I know "everyone" is in it, and I wonder if I ought to give it a shot.

Honestly, based on the personality that comes through in your posts, I think you should give it a shot. It's genuinely funny and has an undercurrent of honesty to it all. And all those young actors do a great job - young Jason Segel is just adorable! It's only eighteen episodes, though, so I'm always bummed when it comes to an end.
