Now Perry's Not So Sure About "State's Rights"

Several weeks ago, Perry said he so supported individual states' rights that he was fine with New York's approval of same-sex marriage. Now he's not so sure. Pandering to the wingnut base of the GOP, clearly, he has now signed a pledge to back a federal constitutional amendment against gay marriage after trumpeting for years his support of the states to make these decisons for themselves.

Perry likens homosexuality to alcoholism, and doesn't believe it has been proved to be genetic. But even if it is genetic, he says, alcoholics can control their intake of alcohol, so . . .there ya go.

And they said John Kerry was a flip-flopper?

Yeah, but then again he also signed in to law the requirement for the HPV vaccine for all girls of a certain age. Of course, that wasn't at ALL in deference to the pharamas., was it, because, ya know, he's all over parents' rights...
