Another Scott Brown/NCFIC conference

Recommended Posts

Scott Brown's "Power of the Gospel" conference, with many of the usual players: son-in-law/child groom Taylor Tsantles, Kevin Swanson, R.C. Sproul Jr. There is also a pointed reference to DPIAT/R, on the one-year anniversary of Tool O'Ween, no less:

“We are here with a limp of humility. There have been many calls for repentance,†said Brown, making a clear reference to the public resignation of a leader in the homeschool movement one year ago over immoral, sinful choices.

Many pictures, including a few Botkin sightings (Victoria and Geoff are both really showing their age), and a dead, bloated sheep. (I don't make the news, I only report it. :pink-shock: )

I love how Scottie is already recruiting for his Marriage conference in February.

"This is one of my favorite gatherings. It is small and intimate and it takes place in our home - my favorite place on the planet. We limit the group size to 24 couples and we spend the whole time in our living room. Deborah and I have been married for 29 years. My parents, Bill and Mary Brown, who have been married for 63 years are a very special addition. We also will have two of our married children with us and that provides many opportunities for conversation about matters of getting married. David and Monica have been married 3 years, and Taylor and Blair about 3 years."

Gee, Scottie, why don't you tell the real story of why your other married child and her husband won't be there this year? Why did they move 3000 miles away, Scott? Hmmmm, was it better for their marriage to get away from YOU? Maybe.

I believe that family beach photo is from a couple of years ago, isn't it?

oh maybe so

here's another one that might be newer. (but the description says 2012)

i know their beliefs are toxic and the militant fecundity thing is horribly damaging. It's just that hearing about how Kelly was dragged all over the world and nearly died makes me glad to see her healthy. I hope Sippy is hiring a maid or something. And that they're not pretending that super huge families is possible without a lot of help

Nope. That one is a couple of months older than me bs first one. Four more babies have been added since then with a fifth due any day now. (One for P&K, two for D&M, 1 plus one in utero for T&B).

okay i take the praise back. Kelly for God's sake just cut it off one night. (ha - wouldn't that be great if a quiverfull wife actually snapped under the pressure and did that to her hubby? All quiverfull guys from then on would live with more respect.)

They must post these old photos on their site as a way to fool people like me who don't pay attention into thinking that they're doing great.

There's also the little matter of Peter and Kelly moving to the other side of the country. At very least, it's a whole lot more difficult to rope the whole tribe into a family day out to the Outer Banks (or wherever it is those photos were taken) every couple of months.

At worst (or best), Peter has told Scott to screw himself and that he won't be at his beck and call anymore.

I suspect the actual situation is somewhere between the two but whatever the family politics it's not surprising that the family pictures aren't being updated as frequently.

Goodness me, it's nearly 2015. Hasn't Scottie got an indentured servant intern who can Photoshop the Bradricks back into the fold?

Regarding the bloated sheep. I'd suggest that Scott increase his profit margin significantly by omitting the speakers from these events and just call them what they are: courtship-related networking for patriarchs.

The Christian religion as a whole would benefit from one less series of lectures delivered by trumped-up loudmouths with hooligans' credentials in actual theology. All of which lead to confusion and heresy rivaling anything the FLDS and other garden-variety cults have produced.

Just sell tent spaces in a field, or booths in an exhibition hall, among which patriarchs and their helpmeets can troll about, finding the right guy/gal for Patience/Prosperity, already!

For instance, the bloated sheep carcass upstream.

OK, so go drink from the water upstream of the carcass, already.

Q: What's the point?

A: There isn't any - it's all just filler for the networking!

Exactly. Petey's name got removed ASAP from the "About Us" portion of the NCFIC website after he & the family moved 3000 miles away early this year. All mention of the Bradricks! was also excised immediately from the description of the 2015 marriage seminar (ncfic.org/events/view/our-marriages-and-the-marriages-of-our-sons-and-daughters-2015). Nonetheless, the Bradrick! family is featured in the photos.

Scott Brown figures his potential customer base is too stupid to notice these issues-- and they must be to pay good money for bullshit like this.

From that uber-turd, Kevin Swanson:

Much of the emasculation of men today goes to the fact that they are hitting the bad websites. Pornography in one generation, then homosexuality in the next generation. Pornography is called ‘homosexuality light’ because it does not involve a real woman.

Just waiting for the day ol' Kevin is taken down for a sex-capade of some sort -- you KNOW it's coming when someone obsesses about sex so much.

Also, it's interesting that the "blogger" for this conference is Adam McManus, a blowhard talibangelical radio host from San Antonio (adammcmanus.net/home.asp) who was Doug Phillips Is A Rapist's bestest buddy, back in the day and hosted Doug as well as JTeef on his radio show in SA.

Looks like gender-segregated toys aren't going away anytime soon if the picture of the little boy at the wooden sword booth is any indication.

I remember that was a popular VF item back in the day. Anyone recall that video of Joshua and Justice in the VF warehouse playing with their swords in costume while the Tool narrated with a fake British accent? :violence-duel:

Scotty's deal is less of a flashy circus, but it's the same messages all the way down to the toys.

So what is the current total count for Kelly & Peter spawn? A previous poster indicated that they'd only had one more, so six total?

In 2012 I read they had

Triumph Perseverance

Knox Defender

Loyal Cromwell

Geneva Constance

Michael Courage

Does Kelly have a bun in the oven roe in the boat, or is she currently swimming upstream?

Surely (Shirley!) there must be a few more by now.

They have another one, I think a boy, younger than Michael. I believe born this past Spring. Don't remember the name. Someone else here will have more details.

They have a son named Shephard Thomas. He was born in May.

So if Shep is about 6 months old now, shouldn't she be pregnant with #7? I REALLY hope they stop with the brood they have, but now that they live near Mother Bradrick who managed to have 10 (I think?), I'm sure Petey is encouraged to match it and raise it a notch.

That depends whether the two and a bit year gap between the last two is the beginning of a new pattern or whether it was just a statistical aberration. It's a bit too early to call at this point, but I hope for everyone's sake it's the latter.

Ditto! And doesn't the two and a bit year gap correspond to Petey having an actual job with long hours in the real world, leaving less time to, um.....? :o

Don't know why this made me think of the Botkin-ettes, who, should everything have gone according to plan, a total of between 14 and 20 offspring between the two of them. Not saying that Kelly doesn't love her kids to pieces, but when you look at the results of militant fecundity, perhaps the the Botkin-ettes' long season of God-ordained spinsterhood is a blessing in disguise.

Honestly, if the Botkin-ettes really wanted to be married, they could find husbands.
