Hey, at least he was charged, tried and convicted instead of given an prestigious award while half the country attacked the victim's character instead. Google Jameis Winston if you are not familiar with how we handle rapist American football players.

It does sound as though the US cops were reluctant to ask Windsor any questions just because of his status. Though I do wish the media wouldn't name accused persons until they've actually been found guilty, which Evans was. Not only can it fuck up someone's life IF they're innocent and shit sticks etc, but also I think it provides ammunition to the anti-victim crowd who are fond of spouting the "ruining-his-life" guilt trip.

UPDATE: Sheffield have finally done the right thing and given Evans the red card.
