This story helped restore some of my faith in humanity. Even though North Dakota is about 90 percent white and has practically no Jews or blacks, the people of Leith refused to just roll over and let these losers set up shop in their town. Maybe 50-80 years ago, we would have been afraid of these white supremacist gangsters, but now we just laugh at them and tell them where they can stick their "Fourth Reich."

When I lived in Spokane there was an active and very vocal racist group located just over the border. Everyone detested them but they were a scary group.

I'd love to move back to Spokane because it is a beautiful area with good people. I just hope the crazy racist die off soon or have an epiphany and realize how sickening racism is.

This also happened a few years back in John Day, Oregon. This is the town where my paternal ancestors lived as early as 1869. It is a tiny place and very conservative. About ten years ago they voted to make their county a UN Free zone. (Whatever the hell that means!) Well, I was sure proud when they told the Neo-Nazi's in no uncertain terms that they would not be welcome in Grant County, Oregon. :naughty:
