2024 NWSL season - Women’s soccer

Starting this thread hoping that there are some women’s soccer fans out there. Tomorrow, March 16, the 2024 NWSL season kicks off as Portland Thorns FC hits the road to take on the Kansas City Current from CPKC Stadium, the first athletic venue purpose-built for women's professional sports in the United States. Proud to be a KC Current supporter and looking forward to the game tomorrow. We went to the open house at the stadium last week and it’s a beautiful venue. The Current Thorns game will be on ABC at 12 central time.

I’m not really much of a soccer fan, but a friend shared this on my Facebook feed.  And while I live in Mid Missouri, I’ll always be a Kansas City girl at heart.  Also, I believe Patrick & Brittney Mahomes had a hand in this. 

 

The KC Current has the first Women’s Soccer facility.  It sold out.  (Just, nobody mention the entire parking issue since it’s adjacent to downtown)
