RIP David McCallum

Actor, author, and musician David McCallum passed away today. He was 90. 

Mr. McCallum was known for playing Illya Kuryakin in The Man from U.N.C.L.E., Steel in Sapphire and Steel, and Dr. Donald “Ducky” Mallard in NCIS. He was also in memorable films such as The Great Escape and The Greatest Story Ever Told.

You will always be my favorite Russian spy.

Just yesterday there was an article about how many episodes of NCIS he might be in for the possible upcoming season and how tough it was for him to fly across the country to do that.

I read that article as well @Coconut Flan, and today he's gone. I had such a crush on him as Ilya. Today I was watching NCIS reruns just for the heck of it.

I remember the big brouhaha when Jill Ireland left him for Charles Bronson. 
RIP Mr McCallum, also the big headed earthling from Outer Limits, S1 Ep 5.

Many years ago, I saw him in a production of Camelot. The theater is one of those with the stage in the middle. I was at the end of the row and he ran past me. I always had a warm spot in my heart for him because he was my first celebrity I saw "close up".
