In 1976, Leonard Bernstein and Alan Jay Lerner wrote a musical called 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. It flopped.

But this song remains, and I just found this video. This is a performance from 2017, after the "bandits" had already broken in. The amazing Cynthia Erivo and the National Symphony Orchestra seem pretty heartfelt about the message.
