Mayim Bialik's Passover Prep

I like Mayim's blog pretty well, it gives me insights into a way of life that I could never follow. This topic reminds me of the time that a woman who was a new acquaintance, and who would go on to become one of my closest lifetime friends, told me that one of her son's rebellious friends broke Passover with a bacon double cheeseburger. Of course, I laughed, and she said do you see both the ironies in that? When I said yeah I sure did, and explained both the bacon and the eating of meat and milk together, she smiled a little oddly. I guess it was then that she knew that I had taken the trouble to learn something of her people's traditions. It seemed to vet me with her in a way. Good memories, good memories.
