So Dougie's newest money making schemeministry appears to be a "documentary" (or whatever the hell he calls them) about Christians in early Rome. He's posted a teaser video. At least he's letting the women play dress up with them.

I have friends who cosplay and they spend WAY less time in costume than Dougie.

Let me guess, Geoff Botkin is producing this film! :roll: What a joke. Seriously, want to be more like Christ, be like Him...do His work....feed the hungry, clothe the poor, visit the imprisoned...nowhere did it say...dress up in ridiculous costumes that make you look like an idiot in order to "propagate" the faith and give you something to do other than have to talk to your wife...

Twin2, I love you. This picture of Dougie MADE MY DAY. I almost just wet myself laughing. WHY does this guy insist on dressing in period clothing and acting out his man-fantasies? I hope someone plays with this pic and makes it into a LOLDOUG graphic soon.

Dougie's outfit looks like something my son is wearing to Burning Man. His group has a theme camp. They are going with Roman this year, chariots and all. But they aren't trying to convert anyone.

What is with this guy and dressing up?! And don't even get me started on the manly romp. I think he missed his calling being off-broadway or something. The only grown men I know who are that into dressing up are either in the SCA/Ren Faires, or my gay friends going to pride. :violence-swords:

This, this, this and a super-sized helping of THIS on the side. It is probably due to spending so much time on this board, but both Gothard and Dougie have shredded my last nerve. I think this picture just sent me over the edge! That being said, I'm anxiously awaiting the LOLDougs!!! Thank you in advance for that comedy gold!! :clap:

      Stupid loneliness!
      Kid 1 went back to college (yeah! But sad foe me, she stayed with me all summer. It was nice to start a new phase in our mother/daughter relationship)
      Zero prospects on dates. (Not that I have tried online dating, scared of that but I have reached put to a new group at church, etc.
      I asked a friend to go to dinner the other night so I wasn't eating alone, again. The friend had plans, all my friends always have plans. I see stuff on social media, I'm never invited. I'm single, I'm the 3rd or 5th wheel.
      My one parent friend at kid 2's fall sport won't be there because their daughter made varsity (Yeah for her!!! Seriously happy for her. Sad for me for another sport I basically sit alone, did that majority of spring and summer sporting events.)
      And now I'm crying as my mom told me 2 different funny stores that former teachers remembered about my twin. Both stories were about how they got a crack out of my twin's antics (my parents went to a funeral today and saw former colleagues). Teachers remember me (after all I was a twin and teachers' kid) but none would have memorable stories of me. 
      I feel invisible. 
      Don't worry, this will pass,  it always does. I just need a pity party for a few days. I'm not in anyway going to harm myself. As lonely as I am, I have a very full life I (usually) love. I just needed to vent and cry for a moment.

      Absolutely awful about the fires on Maui. In 2019, I stayed in Lahaina. I liked to sit on the sea wall, which is the only structure left now, and watch the water. People are receiving help, but many had to leave pets. Please donate to the Maui Humane Society, which is leading efforts to find, treat, and reunite pets.
