As expected - crickets. They were discussing whether the House and Senate electoral college dissenters had a leg to stand in and whether Nancy Pelosi would hold on to the speakership. Not one word about the phone call. I didn’t leave it on for long, so maybe they got around to it. Eventually...

If nothing else it takes out a potential threat over the next four years and in 2024. I am wondering if some politicians are realising just how bad this actually is, and are backpedaling before they get towed under.

If they cared about badness they've had plenty of time to say or try to do something about it.  Few, if any, appeared willing to stick their necks out too far.  I believe they realized that Trump can't turn his loss around, and they (and/or any handlers) don't want to find themselves on the wrong side of a party fracture, so they have nothing to collectively gain by supporting him any longer.

Individually, I think it's possible that some have sold their souls on the dependency of a second term for Trump.  Perhaps some future favors were anticipated and they chose to believe, or they felt other motivations to cooperate.  I'd expect them to lay low and lick their wounds while hoping enough of the ugly will eventually blow over.

I honestly think #CovidKim here in Iowa was banking on a cabinet position if fuck face won and was auditioning for it all last year. I think it’s why Iowa did and continues to do less  than the bare minimum. 

If Biden had won Iowa and fuck face called her wanting the election results overturned she’s stupid enough to try something even if she was recorded.
