One of them totally needs to pitch this to JB. Baptism is a perfect excuse for a pool and then they wont have to make home made slip-n-slides with dish soap in the dirt on hot days.

I've never been able to wrap my head around all of the the compound "properties" but Grandma Mary's house had a pool and that's how she died☹️

I think it is along the same lines of why they used to give women enemas when they were in labor, clean them out so they don't shit while pushing. The diarrhea only lasts for a couple hours tops, then calms down.

I didn't have diarrhea, and was glad the enema was given. Didn't want to shit all over my new baby.

Wasn't there someone we found who took photos of them giving birth and pooing on the baby? And then made the choice to post those photos to their website/blog? I might still be traumatized from that.

Yeah. The more I learn about the "usefulness" of castor oil. I think that I too would thoroughly opt for an enema.

The idea of inducing gastric upset with the impending baby sounds hideous.

Is there any particular reason that enemas have fallen out of favor? (other than it is something being stuck up your butt)

Some thoughts on another riveting episode.

  • Today’s Word of the Episode is Surreal, as in “It’s surreal that almost every female in this fertility cult is pregnant, some for the third time within five years of marriage.”
    • Jessa keeps saying it’s so surreal to be on their five year anniversary with their third kid on the way and like……yeah, it is surreal! It should be surreal! You’re pumping them out like you’re 14th century monarchs trying to have enough heirs in case half of them die of smallpox!
  • Michelle sounds weirdly condescending greeting Grandma Mary with, “Look at your flowers, you look adorable!” And speaking of Michelle, someone should email one of their Duggar spreadsheets to her so she can keep track of her own damn family.
  • I don’t think Lauren/Josiah are going to be able to have a big quiver. She’s young like Kendra, but she seems to have harder pregnancies than Kendra’s two so far. Plus as so many other people have said, they don’t seem compatible, and who knows how they will adjust to parenthood? As much as Lauren might want to be like ~Mom Michelle~, I just don’t think that’s in the cards for her. And honestly that’s probably for the better for her and her mental health.
  • CinderJana is conscripted to add ruching to everyone’s maternity clothes.
  • “I enjoy not having to suck in all the time. I can actually be proud of my belly,” Joy says when asked about her favorite part of pregnancy. This comment just makes me......depressed.
  • It looks like they’re eating Chik-Fil-A at the gender reveal party because these people are walking stereotypes of themselves. I’m also convinced one of the producers deliberately loosened one of the balloon strings so it would go flying up to heaven for the poetic symbolism.
  • As all the balloons pop with the white confetti, everyone keeps saying, "It's a white. There's a lot of whites." You're telling me.
  • Lily Swanson is serving me major theater kid energy. Tbh that whole family gives me major theater kid energy.
  • I love how discreet they’re trying to be about what wedding the Duggars were attending. It was Carlin’s, just say it. Does UP have her name copyrighted or something?

They love that word SURREAL.

Do they know?

surreal. ... The adjective surreal comes from Surrealism, a movement that produced films, writing, painting, and other art forms that often contained irrational, disjointed images. So, surreal describes something that's a bizarre mix of elements, often jarring and seemingly nonsensical.(vocabulary.com)

The Duggars are surreal, their lives???? NOPE.

As for Joy noting having to suck it in has got to be a hold over from her younger teen years when she was always a little heavier than her older sisters and I'm sure it was commented on about how "chubby" she was, and probably by her asshole mother whom her self was bulimic as a teen.

I had to chuckle at Jessa saying her food aversions were chicken and coffee, those were the two things I couldn't stomach when I was pregnant with DD

It is sad that Jill wasn't allowed at the baby shower with the rest of her sisters, sisters in law, Kendra's sisters were there, Anna got to be their but not Jill?

Lauren is very extra about everything. ?

Are we sure she wasn’t there? TLC has been filming around Josh and Anna pretty successfully on occasions.

George Foreman named 6 of his 12 kids (I had NO IDEA he had 12 kids) George, well 5 sons are named George 1 daughter is named Georgetta. They both seem to be over the top egotistical.  As you'd have to be to have the audacity to name 6 of your kids after you.

I think lauren is just guessing how far she was she peed on a stick told the family and had a miscarriage all with in about a week no chance she went to a dating ultersound.

I'm pretty sure she knew when her period was due, and the date of her previous period so she most likely calculated from that. She wouldn't have seen a doctor yet, as most won't see you until you are at least 8 weeks, unless you have a history of miscarriages, which she didn't at the time as it was her 1st pregnancy. So yeah she only knew for a week and half,  2 weeks at most. Did they have a nursery set up already for that baby or did they just have a nursery in general because they are who they are?

So if you were one of his sons would you feel bad if you were just one of the five or if you were not chosen to be named after your dad? What’s worse?

I have to go google what his other kids are called now.

Wikipedia says he only has the five sons.

His five sons are George Jr., George III ("Monk"), George IV ("Big Wheel"), George V ("Red"), and George VI ("Little Joey").

Nicole Naugler and it was a video on her blog. She was also giving birth in a lean to so surprisingly the poop was the least concerning thing about that entire debacle

He might have been thinking ahead - if the baby got his name then maybe he'd get a different one.

Anyone else think when he gets older he's going to ask his mom and dad, why his name is so stupid when his siblings are named Henry and Ivy?

I love baseball but I'm dreading the new season because the White Sox ownership is THE FUCKING WORST. I watched Dominican League Baseball (Lidom!) over the winter and fell in love with their joy, spirit, and exuberance. The broadcasts were in Spanish and my Spanish is pretty weak but I loved catching phrases and repeating them. Bombe! I'm sad about MLB and Commissioner Idiota's busywork rules. But I love baseball, always and forever.
I guess I don't have a point. Just bitching. Te amo mucho, Lidom!

      Happy International Women's Day!

Humanity may have some work to do, to improve gender equality, but I was glad to hear that France has taken an important step to protect healthcare for women (and people of other genders who can get pregnant).

Feeling ragey this morning. I have a doctor's appointment this afternoon in the hope of getting help for an ongoing injury. I went to a (different!!) doctor late last year who completely blew me off. He wouldn't do diagnostic testin, he refused to send me to a specialist, and he just told me to "take it easy" and "take ibuprofen." I'm hopeful for today's appointment but I'm also feeling a SEVERE amount of rage at that doctor from last year!

Well, the rash is back with a vengeance. It never completely cleared up. I saw the derm yesterday and they did another swab and yup, raging infection again, still? It is definitely strep skin infection. I am getting so damn tired and run down from this. Who the f would immagine being hospitalized freaking TWICE for a rash?

My niece is going to be a seat filler at this year's Academy Awards.  Seat fillers are asked to wear tuxedos regardless of sex/gender.  If you see a pretty young woman with very curly hair, it could be my niece.
