@feministxtian,I wish I could help you. I'd take the pain away if I could. Hugs aren't much; cyber hugs even less, but it's what I have to give...

TAM is receiving the Phyllis Schlafly homemaker of the year award. This women fought equal rights amendment. I don’t understand why. She was born during the depression, 1924. She was a lawyer. I assume she came from money but I’m not sure. I don’t understand any women who hates the equal rights.

That’s a strange award for TAM, being that she’s never home.

Phyllis wasn’t either. They seem to have a lot in common :5624795033223_They-see-me-rollinroll:

The same woman who claimed that “sexual harassment is rarely a problem for virtuous women” and even bitched about foreign players in the MLB(aka “America’s pastime”).

Phyllis was an embarrassment to all women. Same as TAM. The award seems appropriate.

She wasn't born particularly rich but she married into a lot of wealth. Funny story: her nephew is the founder of Schlafly Brewery, a big craft beer producer in St. Louis. She spent years suing to keep them from using the name because she didn't want to be associated with the devil's liquor. The brewery's argument was basically "we don't want to be associated with your dumb ass either, but this is our given family name." She lost the suit, of course.

That’s crazy. That was a question that was asked. I know the beer company, used to grocery shop with my mom at the location of the brewery when it was a shop n’ save.

Hold up. He was converted by Brother Jed?

As someone whose alma mater was on Jed's rotation... what? Somehow this information makes him 10x loonier in my eyes.

This bit:

"he used similar logic to argue that most women with a serious blood-clotting and liver complication would carry a child to term without incident. “I’ve had to, as a physician, address the ‘life of the mother’ exception,” he says, telling a story about a woman he met at a homeschooling conference who had given birth to two healthy children despite being diagnosed with HELLP."

really pissed me off. He is not an ob/gyn. He has met one woman who apparently had HELLP Syndrome in both pregnancies. A sample of n=1 does not translate to a population. Yes she could quite conceivably have had two near term babies with no ongoing issues - or in my n=1 sample she could have had two micro-prem babies with developmental delays, and also ended up in ICU for a fortnight.

I wish this guy would stay the hell in his ostepotathic lane.

if the NRA endorsed it it must be good :pb_rollseyes:. Well I guess we know where all of their money goes to. Instead of paying to protect their family they grift money and spend money to make junk movies.

Since Lisa Metzger doesn’t have her own thread, I’ll post this here. She and TAM are BFFs so It makes sense. I have questions for anyone well aquatinted with Plexus. Is this truly a trip paid for by plexus? Or is there some catch? Because I know how sneaky MLMs can be.

PS: Lisa is currently pregnant with babies 14 and 15.

What is her big obsession with drag lately? It's like she's really trying to find something to be offended by!

It's not sexual orientation or gender, strictly speaking, so Facebook allows people to incite hatred and promote discrimination against people who dress in drag.  She has to be much more careful when the topic is transgender, especially since her idiotic followers are likely to cross the line and get their accounts suspended with their comments.

It's the same reason why racist assholes go after "liberals" instead of minorities: Facebook lets them say anything about them, up to and including calling for eradicating their existence.  And the haters can always subtly or overtly equate the groups with each other, eg by including a collage photo of women of color in a rabid call to destroy evil socialists.

I am doing way more than you. You have a platform and you don’t use it for good. If you truly were pro life you would be fighting to protect the kids in cadges. Getting funds for families in poverties instead of yourself. This post angers me so much! It is easy to say what they would have done during slavery or the holocaust. Fact is people who owned slaves used the Bible to justify it. Most Christians ignored the cries of Jews being stuffed and taken to death camps. Thanks to Catholics, who most Christians don’t consider to be Christian, lots of Jews were saved. CF97CB98-446E-4B45-B5A9-FC9FC9681EF2.thumb.jpeg.185619339f9f58e14c43df5fc5e59dbc.jpeg

So I read that the single screening of The Reliant wasn’t even full. Some people walked out. And Kevin Sorbo was killed 19 minutes into it. And Eric Roberts was in it for like a split second. Then when someone wanted to write a review of the movie, they asked to see it first. Lol! They knew it would be bad. Poor Johnston’s made a piece of shit movie no one saw.

Who the fuck is she trying to fool? She's explicitly defended Confederate symbols! She bashes Black Lives Matter and rails against against immigration. She hangs out with Confederate sympathizers and white supremacists, from Roy Moore to Matt Shea to the Morton family. Her entire political platform is straight out of the backlash to the civil rights movement. Her old website includes material praising Southern secession. So yeah, I think we can guess where she would have stood.

Bitch please.  The Anus Mouth would have been a true believing nazi.  She would turn in Jews, LGBT and Romani people in hiding.  ??

God Awful Movies did an episode discussing the Reliant. It sounds pretty low-budget and nonsensical even by the standards of self-produced evangelical issue movies.

But you know what I really hate? They will probably sell enough copies of the movie to fundie gun loving Christian families that they will actually end up making money on that piece of crap.

I just listened to this (I love GAM!) and it sounds like the whole film is full of WTF! I honestly thought it was going to be an anti-choice movie so I was a little surprised when it turned out to be a 2nd Amendment extravaganza. Swords! Spears! Bows and arrows! Using an AR-15 to kill a raccoon!

TAM and her husband are obsessed with many things. Abortion, guns, anal sex... The list goes on and on.
