Is it weird that Joy and Austin went on their missioncation with an apparently Messianic Jewish organization? I don't know enough about Messianic Judaism to really decide, but it seems out of character.

My cousins are of the Navajo Nation, so um yea if you want to talk about genocide that a good place to start.

Oh Gosh Yes!! I had to educate my FIL about what the American Govt did to NA exposing them to blankets of smallpox victims capturing NA exposong them to disease then releasing them! Eradicating their food supplies! I read the NA account of the whole affair and it is so different from thw white version. They were justifiably angry!

I also love needling pwople with the fa ts of Quanah Parker the last Commanche war chief to surrender to live on a resevarion mostly because his family were starving. He was half white his Mother was a captive who later became a trobe member and married a war chief. The fed govt could not prosecite Quanah because he never ever signwd any treaties! He also kept his 7 wives despite the Indian agent telling him to pick 1..he told the agent to go pick 1 and tell the rest they were no longer his wives...he was able to kep them all

Biological warfare at its best. I don't remember when I learned this, but I remember being shocked as a kid that my friends didn't know, no was it taught in schools.

I cant take credit. Thats from the Hurricane Neddy episode of the Simpsons but it is so so appropriate

Lisa: Mr. Flanders, with all due respect, Bart didn't do anything.

Flanders: Do I hear the sound of butting in? It's gotta be little Lisa Simpson Springfield's answer, to a a QUESTION NO ONE ASKED!

Austin bought a meth lab house (from the looks of it.. a total mess) on the outskirts of Fayetteville in early May. He listed Fayetteville as his residence when they applied for their marriage license a few days later. I wonder if the Duggar boys fixed that place up and that's where Joy's stuff, including two area rugs, ended up? They turned around Joshley's house in short order when he came home in disgrace from DC.

http://www.deq.state.ok.us/lpdnew/MethLabs/meth.htm

The house MUST be removed to be destroyed, the land MUST be graded and removed to be burned. A construction company has to remove all the dirt going down SEVERAL layers to remove all possible layers of contamination.

The holocaust was horrible, to know that there are people who still to this day don't believe it, is mind blowing. I've never been to any concentration camps, but reading just descriptions have broken my heart. I cried my way through Night in grade 12. So to think that fundies can take the horror of being ripped from your family, taken to camp where you are treated like less then an animal, where you are beaten, tortured, and starved, where everyone may die; to compare this to abortion? That is beyond disgusting. I don't care what your beliefs are but all of these people were living, breathing human beings. They had families, friends, and were going through this world doing no harm. You compare that to abortion? You're sick and disgusting and I can't even deal with your shit.

What I described above is persecution, having someone tell you that they don't agree with you, is not and will never be.

I been to one. Never ever again. I was 11 or 10 at the time, had nightmares for days. The gas showers just give you nightmares. Up to this day, I try not to watch movies related to it. One thing that annoys me is the fact they call them Polish Concentration Camps. This is misleading, they were Nazis or German but not Polish.

I grew up in Poland, a lot of people do not know that Polish people were the only nation where upon discovery that they aided the jews, they and their families were shot on a spot or taken to camps themselves.

My grandma grew up in Eastern Poland. The Russians were bad as well, when they attacked from the East. They would rape and kill and steal. Most of my grandparents and their generation refused to discuss the war. The memories were too painful.

In all honestly, I can't see Israelis tolerating them and their ministry too well. . .

Because tourism is big business. I've been to Israel on a religious tour (we did not attempt to convert anyone). I know that our American guides had talked with the Jewish and Palestinian guides about their faith (because they told us what faith they practiced) but did not see it as an attempt to convert. The Jewish and Palestinian guides knew the New Testament backwards and forwards, because it was their JOB to shuttle Christians around and point out the related landmarks to them. A friend (more fundie, not the same trip as I took) had posted "Pray for our guide; I think he's almost ready to become a Christian" and I just shook my head. It's all customer service, not an "almost" conversion (IMO).

I'm glad I'm not God. I'll let Him sort it out and I'm not going to argue if He let's the whole world into heaven. (Now you see why my fundie brethren think I'm a liberal!)

Its ridiculous.  From the website:

https://www.oneforisrael.org/about-us/ministry-trips/

Quote

We at One For Israel believe that the best way to bless Israel is with Jesus and therefore have created these ministry trips in order to give Christians worldwide the ability to take part in being a blessing!

All One For Israel professional guides are local local Messianic believers

You will receive a local Messianic perspective on what God is doing in Israel and the entire Middle East.

Serve people in Israel by showing God’s love in a practical way.

Receive unique insight into the life of believers and the promotion of the gospel in Israel today.

Apparently the best way to bless Israel is with Jesus, but they're too good to proofread their website.

The Duggars have been trying to snag Jewish things for a while (star of david, menorahs in the house etc).  It doesnt surprise me that they're starting to affiliate themselves with fake jews.  I'll wait for one of them to announce that they've bought a Torah a la Ralph Messer and do something offensive with it.  Lets all pay attention to their doorframes for mezuzahs in the future.

I clicked around the site and came across this amazing piece of absolute shit

https://www.oneforisrael.org/bible-based-teaching-from-israel/rabbinic-exclusion-women-vs-jesus/

What an absolute amazing distortion of absolutely everything in Judaism.  Judaism teaches respect for women, and that men should honor them ESPECIALLY as a wife and mother.  Jesus has nothing to do with this conversation.  OMG I hate these people!

Oh noes! ISRAEL IS DANGEROUS! OMG is it as dangerous as Ebil Sintral Amerika?

Joy and Austin's group thinks so...

https://www.oneforisrael.org/about-us/jewish-evangelism-in-israel/

Quote

There is a very active and well-funded anti-missionary organization in Israel operated by Orthodox Jews. They are doing everything in their power (including violent and many illegal acts) in order to stop us and stop the Gospel from being spread in Israel. They operate their own websites which put down the New Testament, Yeshua (Jesus), and everyone who follows Him. Our websites counter their lies.

They're risking their lives telling Jews all about Jesus! I'm not sure which country they're talking about because its clearly not Israel. Maybe North Korea?

Not only Polish people. My great-grandfather (Dutch) was in the wrong house at the wrong time and taken to a camp to be worked to death in 6 weeks time, along with the other men in the house. Not that it really matters where he was, as his own house was full of hidden Jews as well. They survived I think. My grandfather who was 14 years old and the oldest of 8 was suddenly the man of the house and working to support his mother and siblings.

@nolongerIFBx it's like the tour guide equivalent of waiters being nice to customers because they know that good service mean tips, lol. It's literally their job!

There's a big difference between the dynamic between Joy and Austin and Jinger and Jeremy. During Jinger's wedding, she was so intently focused on him that she didn't seem to notice anyone else was there. In contrast, during Joy's wedding, when they all sang the song, she turned to sing toward the audience while Austin was gazing at her.

Had a dream last night that Joy announced a pregnancy, so I had to pop in and make sure that it was indeed a dream. Carry on!

That need to keep being a dream, at least until her 25th birthday.  Ha, as if.  Ok realistically I'd be happy if she waits for her 20th birthday to get pregnant.

Let's hope so! But I have a funny feeling that she'll follow in Jill's footsteps. I really hope I'm wrong, but I would be shocked if she doesn't make an announcement by the end of this year.

I was always taught about the Holocaust.  Both in regular school and Hebrew school.  My junior and senior years of High School their was a day with no regular classes instead they had survivors come in to tell their stories.

I have talked about my ex-friend before. What started my decent of not wanted to be friends with her anymore was the second year we had this day she said "I don't believe this happened. I think it was made up". It took everything in my power not to punch her in the face.

You are a much better person than I am. I would have been hauled off. What a disgusting thing to say. Imagine going through the horrors of the Holocaust, only to hear an arrogant little shit say "I don't believe this happened. I think it was made up."

Anyone watching those Netflix history porn's?  Like The Tudors, Versailles or The Borgias?  I'm loving them.  I've actually learned a lot from looking into what is historically accurate.

The Borgias is AMAZING! So freaking good. From what I've read, it all seems very factual. Little embellishments here and there, but overall on it.

@speller24. So good!  I'm almost done with season 2.  I did a major binge watch yesterday,  way past my bedtime.  I'm exhausted!

Cesare's character is awful, but, the actor is so hamdsome with his blue eyes, dark hair and all black outfits!  I don't want to like him but I do. : )

DFO linked to Joy and Austin's new Facebook page, which weirdly allows people to leave "reviews" of the couple...I just can't with some of these people :/IMG_0726.thumb.PNG.7db2e83449c376d0ebd305ef65080dcc.PNG

That is absolute gold! I shall now be RooKanga, because Rufus or something.

Don't most people just go alphabetically, or by age, or by how well they know people? (Eg. When referencing a couple, I usually say the one I am closer to or was friends with first out of habit) I don't think the Bible has anything to do with the way people order names.

Regardless in the wise words of My Big Fat Greek Wedding, "The man is the head, but the woman is the neck.  And she can turn the head any way she wants". Keep turning that head towards waiting for children, Joy!

True for normal people. However, with the fundies we follow, it is always the man's name first. Chad and Erin Paine, Michael and Brandon Keilen, Zach and Whitney Bates, etc.

Michael and Brandon Keilen is the woman's name first! Hah, that's what they get for messing up Michael's name!
