I haven't been following this thread very closely, but I take it that nasty comments about Jill's post-pregnancy body, Derick's post-oral surgery face, and Israel's looks is the flavor of the day.

I always thought Derick was kind of a-dork-able ... But even I can't keep my mouth shut on the pictures on Pickles page. He looks like an escapee from a Bee Gees reunion.

And that's as far as my judgement on looks will go.

Derrick looks insanely creepy with those braces on. They look HUGE.

Eh. I don't mind his new (well, old...because I think he's done this style before) look. I think he definitely looks tired but that's expected when you have a baby in the house.

I think Jill looks good in the pictures I saw. Happy and relaxed.

I think Derek looks odd with this new face shape, Jill has crazy eyes like always, and Izzy looks sad and neglected. (And unfortunately, still looks like JB)

But Derrick can't help the way his face looks. I think it is so hurtful when others who have oral surgery are asked what is wrong with their face or if they are sick. It is so hurtful! Some people's faces look different after major oral surgery and don't bounce back. He has only been a couple weeks post op! This is so wrong and I bet he is feeling insecure about it already.

Sorry if this has been answered/mentioned before, I was thinking that maybe the Dillards are asking for donations, because Derick does not want Jim Boob's money. Maybe they do not have the money saved up for this mission trip, because TLC pulled out of sponsoring them, and Derick really wants out of the nightmare. I still think that it's tasteless and tacky for them to ask for donations, when they should have money saved up from the J'slaves book, the show, their public appearances, and Derick's Walmart job. But maybe they spent it, or somehow it's tied up and they can't access it yet.

All I can say is, IMO, if I were in Derick's shoes, I would want to get as far away as possible from the Duggars, especially now that Josh is nearby, but I'd do so by finding another job rather than go on a mission trip. But maybe Derick knows people from his college days and Walmrt that can help him find work once they return, far far away from TTH and Josh.

And besides Derick's new hairdo and braces in recent pics, which he can do what he wants with how he looks, he looks tired. It's not just the circles under the eyes. I have dark circles (thanks Dad!!) but I don't look as tired as Derick. I think the past weeks, since Josh's child molesting has come out, has really been a wake up call for Derick. I can't say the same for Jill, because I think Jill lives in her own tiny bubble of a world. I think that the mission trip is to severe ties monetarily (at least) and geographically from Boob and Mullet more than anything. At least one can hope.

Anyway, enough ranting.

Sorry, I rarely say nice things about the Dullard family, but you're right. It's not his fault. If he truly had something wrong with his jaw and needed it fixed, then that's fine. I didn't think his teeth looked crooked in the first place. I just think that if I were recovering from surgery like this, I wouldn't be speaking at conventions, taking "anniversary" pictures and leaving on a mission trip over seas. I'd just rest. Seems like he's not being allowed to do that.

Oh FFS. He is 26 years old, a married man with a college degree and work experience. To say he is "not allowed" to do something is ludicrous. He has chosen this lifestyle and continues to do make his own choices. If he chooses to do what JB wants him to do then that is all on Derick's head.

Really!?! The first time he was on the show I commented that he should get his chipmunk teeth fixed. I don't know how anyone could miss that.

The buck teeth are gone and it's certainly a different look. I know others as well that have had these surgeries and usually the face still changes a bit until almost a year after.

I had buck teeth too and was a candidate for that surgery. I was able to get braces to fix my teeth, but my parents weren't able to afford the surgery as we had bad insurance at the time. A an adult I have no reason to get it now.

Never mind. I was going to write a long rant about how disgusting and WAY overboard the bullying has gotten but I decided it's not worth my time. I guess it's only fitting that Derick and Jill spoke at that conference about positive body image because they should know a thing or two. For such a "hideous", "depressing", "creepy" monster Derick has apparently become, I'm glad that he's not hiding his face from the public. I hope he never shaves or cuts his hair as a big FU to the internet. Nothing like a man who knows how to wear a good ponytail. :wink-kitty:

ANYWAY, moving on...one of the Dillard's friends posted videos of Jill and Derick playing with a bunch of kids (including the M'kids) yesterday.

Apparently they were there to help babysit because another friend (it's not mentioned who) needed work done around their house. Anyone recognize if they're at Josh and Anna's new house? In another photo posted earlier (see: https://instagram.com/p/4ippaHxhF-/) you can see Jana and Sierra doing some construction work.

My sister had a teeny kitchen with a washer and dryer in it, so she put a slab of granite on it and used it for counter space. We brought home a couple lbs of cherries we picked and after removing the seeds it looked a murder had taken place in there. Shit happens in a house that can not always be explained by the stain left behind alone.
