One way or the other Iowa is getting blasted over the next few days. Most of Eastern Iowa is under a tornado watch this evening and next week the heat is coming in.

Dew points approach 70, putting peak heat indices during the afternoon in the low to mid 90s. Skies are mostly sunny with a southerly wind at 5-15 mph. Late into the overnight hours, we see the chance of showers and storms and some may be on the stronger side.
Next week they're predicting 90s up into the 100s.
