GG backs Aussie rebublic & gay marriage.

My FB feed is full of displeasure today with posts along the line of "Sack the bitch!".

While I understand her comments are unusual from a GG, is it really that big of a deal that she voiced her opinion?

Already thought the GG was an amazing woman but her speech has raised her even higher in my opinion.

That's pretty brave. I'm always pleased when someone speaks up to say the monarchy is outdated and it's frankly offensive that they are still heads of states that have been independant a long time (Canada, Australia...)
