This kind of makes my head hurt, but I think if they are going for the God made us different angle a better analogy might be the same reason you see a lion, zebra, whale etc. None of those animals can breed with each other because they are meant to be separate. Unlike humans and dogs (and a few other species)

God didn't make poodles, german shepherds and beagles...man did. If MAN stopped selectively breeding for specific traits eventually there would just be a generic "dog," just like God created.

Also, if he's so worried about the eradication of white people, he can rest assured that even extremely deleterious recessive genes (case in point: CF) crop up since healthy people can be carriers.

Yep, it is. I have three dogs. My terrier mix is 15 years and is still growing strong. My dachshund is 4 and is pretty healthy, but dachsies are prone to back problems. I had a dachshund who died from a slipped disk years ago. (My current dachsie might be a little less prone because her legs are slightly longer than the current fashion in the breed.) My Shihtzu, on the other hand, has bad skin, dry eye, and has an ear infection right now. Shihtzu can have a malformation in their ear bones that make infections more likely. She cannot have her coat long and the dry eye can make her stink. My sister thinks I'm heroic for taking Chloe in after my mom had to go into a nursing home, but Chloe is very sweet and she meant the world to my mom.

My current dachsie is a dapple which is the same gene as merle. The Dachshund Club of America banned double dapples a few years ago because of what that page on double merles said. Too many genetic problems in merle x merle crosses especially blindness and deafness.

In humans, you only have to look at the incidence of hemophilia among the royal families of Europe to see what can happen with a restricted gene pool.

They have merles in Chihuahuas now, but they are very frowned upon by legit breeders. I'm not sure if they are allowed in AKC or not. My one girl is a blue, which is a gene similar to the merle. It's a mutation that requires both parents to carry the recessive. Neither parent needs to be blue itself and you should never breed a blue to a blue and I suspect you should never breed a blue to a merle, either. Blues can come with some issues, mostly related to skin and coat. My girl has a bit of the alopecia that is quite common, but only on the back of her ears and the only person other than me and my vet that has ever noticed it is my friend who is a breeder. Blue fur is also a different texture than other fur. It's a really fine, cottony fur, almost like a bunny.

She also gets dry skin on her tummy, but we just put a little gold bond ultimate healing on her tummy 2-3 times a week and that keeps her skin in good shape. She is starting to get more coat now and I have noticed that as she gets more coat on her belly her skin is not as dry.

My other chi is from the same parents, different breeding and she was born liver colored, but she is going to end up being a red as an adult.

So, where does this leave, say, the entire population of North Africa? Who I guess aren't strictly speaking white or black? Yes I know that all the Muslim ones are part of Satan's plan (sarcasm) but there's a bunch of Christians there too. How far south can us Europeans go when picking a partner? Are people in the south of Italy still OK or is that too close to the African coast?

So yeah, what is interracial? Eg, Asian-white, ok I see where that comes from. But what about Indians? Are they black? White with a darker complexion? Asian? What about middle-easterners? I think that mixed race people are beautiful. I once saw a woman who was black/white and she had the most beautiful freckles all over her body. She looked absolutely divine. When I pointed that out to someone, the answer I got was "Freckles on black people are disgusting. Only interracial kids have freckles. Blech!" Looks like this guy isn't the only asshole around.

I think you hit the nail on the head with that. They want freedom to practice religion in school as long as it is their religion. They want freedom of speech as long as they agree with what is being spoken. They want want the government to stay out of their lives as long as no one else gets to do something they disagree with. Because of course anyone who doesn't agree with them is the spawn of satan.

Most people from India are considered Caucasian even though they can be pretty dark-skinned and most of these people (~75%) speak a language with Indo-Aryan roots. The other 25% speak one of the Dravidian family of languages such as Tamil.

I think it's weird that all these people that make so much noise about "Aryan" supremacy don't consider that the greatest number of present day people who have the most right to claim that they are Aryans are brown people.

Anthropologists consider race to be an artificial concept anyway. It doesn't exist biologically.

One of my old church friends believed this. I never heard him blame it on Satan, but he claimed there was a conspiracy to eliminate the "white race" through interracial marriage. His wife told me he believed that by a specific year there would be no "pure white" people left. :roll:

Of course, he also believed having any type of insurance or using seat belts or kid's car seats was not trusting god.

My husband and I (both "white" and no kids) have said in the past the faster people intermarry, the faster they will quit being so stupid about race.

Someone who lives in a more diverse area will have to tell me if that is true or just a guess.

I've lived in very diverse areas where people were racist as ever. If anything, the racists tried to single-handedly make up for the diversity by being extra super duper racist.

The large IFB I belonged to in the late 80's with EXH1 turned an interracial couple away while I was there. A nicely dressed couple visiting from out of town came in one morning before the worship service & sat down near the front. They were immediately approached by 2 deacons, escorted out the back door, & given directions to a predominantly black baptist church a few miles away. :evil:

And no one (except me, but I was too scared to speak up) saw anything wrong with that. The pastor told the whole story in his sermon that morning, and was loudly "amen-ed" for making them leave. His reasoning was that an interracial couple would have mixed -race children, & what if those kids grew up & wanted to date the white kids?

I really doubt anything has changed there.

I find the "purebred" arguments hilarious. These people have *no clue*. The strictly defined races? Nonsense. I bet a good number of them have a drop or two of blood that they would be horrified to know about.

Also, if a universal "browning" of humanity happens, it will take a long, long time. *If* it happens. Which I am not convinced it will just by interracial marriage becoming socially acceptable.
