What was a stupid example?

A particularly stupid example of mixing math and social studies. I'm wondering if the teacher come up with that themselves, or if it was a suggested curriculum question. Either way, tasteless at best.

Although to be fair, at least it wasn't some official text or worksheet that had this appalling example. It was generated by one teacher, who was using math /social studies problems submitted by her young students. The idea was for the kids to come up with math problems based on their social studies unit.

A horrible judgement call on the teachers part - but the administers didn't try to justify it and said the teacher would be disciplined.
