It is interesting to note that those opposed to spanking usually change the word to hitting. Hitting is a means to harm a child, whereas spanking is used to train and discipline a child. They have changed the word to make spanking seem like something evil.

And then she blathers on about how there were hardly any discipline problems when she was a kid because they were all hit. :roll: I swear that woman is evil with a capital bitch. And I generally won't call someone a bitch, but I'll make an exception here because it takes a real bitch to be so obsessed with hitting little kids.

Dear Lori:

My mom switched from using her hand when I was a kid back in the mid-1960s to using a metal-mesh flyswatter. That's because when she HIT one of us too hard one time, it burst a blood vessel in her hand.

Now you tell me again that's not hitting.
