Abortion protest: 30 activists arrested at Virginia Capitol

Virginia Capitol Police Capt. Raymond Goodloe said 31 protesters — 17 women and 14 men — were arrested around 2:40 p.m. Saturday. The protesters were some of an estimated 500 who had marched down a downtown street before gathering on the Capitol grounds to protest legislation like a bill that passed the General Assembly earlier in the week that requires an ultrasound before an abortion.

Lets fill the jails, I'm old and sick of this kind of shit. These folks want to outlaw sex between unmarried adults, and the only folks they care about punishing are the women. Shit likes this makes me want to... well I can't say it here. But I am tired of the regressive politics of the right. We need to stop them in their tracks at the ballot boxes this November.

I do too, but I'd be willing to go. I remember the last time I got arrested for an act of conscience, and I always hope it won't be my last.
