Tony Dow Has Died

Tony Dow, forever known as Wally Cleaver on the classic sitcom Leave It To Beaver, has passed away. He was 77. Cause of death is not yet known, but he had announced in May that he had cancer.

Rest in peace, Tony. 😢

Apparently, he did not intend to audition for the role of Wally, but had accompanied a friend to the audition and was chosen.  I loved Wally.  This Sunday, ME-TV has a tribute to Tony Dow starting at Noon.

According to Wikipedia, Tony passed away from liver cancer.

They’ve actually retracted the announcement that he passed. I believe it is that he’s in hospice right now.

That was day before yesterday. It was announced on Tuesday morning (I think), retracted later in the day by his son, and then he passed away yesterday. 😢
