Laura Prepon no longer Scientologist!

Laura Prepon is no longer a scientologist and stopped a few years ago. YEAH!!!! From the article

Another change, one that occurred several years ago but that she's never shared until now, is that she is no longer a Scientologist.

"I'm no longer practicing Scientology," says Prepon. "I've always been very open-minded, even since I was a child. I was raised Catholic and Jewish. I've prayed in churches, meditated in temples. I've studied Chinese meridian theory. I haven't practiced Scientology in close to five years and it's no longer part of my life."

These days she finds solace in meditation, which she does with her husband, who has never practiced Scientology. "We meditate daily and I'm really liking it," she says, "because it's something that helps me to hear my own voice and it's something we can do together."

I wonder why she didn't admit she left earlier. I am glad she has left.

Like I said in the Pope Francis thread, YAY!!!!  

ETA:  Was Laura raised Scieno?  That can affect how easy it is to leave.

I need to check out the Underground Bunker.

No she wasn't. Per the article she was raised Catholic & Jewish and in CO$ for about 5 years.

I wouldn’t be surprised if her Co star Danny masterson got her into it. His sexual assault cases are airing some Scientology laundry right now.

I wonder that too. I am just glad she is out and I hope others follow

Mike Rinder has responded with a much more nuanced take on Prepon's statement.  Because this relates to Scientology, it's important to view things carefully.

I just hope she doesn't get any threats for saying she isn't longer a member. Good for her and her young children that she has left.

She dated his brother for several years, so I definitely see that.

I was glad to read that she's out. I really enjoyed her in Orange Is The New Black. Now to get Elisabeth Moss out....
