I agree with the group-think thing but I wonder also if Mom and Dad have softened their stances on potential partners. Maybe the situation was getting a little embarrassing for them and I'm sure Cathy misses babies.  Either way, I do think we'll start seeing more of the middle and younger manboys finding girlfriends.

I'm not sure about Wizzie and the older sons. Not because there is anything wrong with her or with getting married for the first time in your 40s. But you do tend to get more set in your ways as you get older, and they come across as both desperate and resigned at the same time.  As for Mary, I have trouble imagining them letting any guy near her and she comes across as the opposite of rebellious.

Had the two engaged boys moved out of the family house?  I remember reading here that some of them were now living in a separate home.

James posted this last summer. But only a picture of a garage building is posted. When I read it, I wondered if he was planning on building a house on that property.

I know this sounds weird but it doesn’t really surprise me. The Arndts were always their own fundie Borg to themselves. They never followed the ridiculous modesty rules like so many other fundies. They were never into Gothard, the Pearls, or VF. So they probably don’t subscribe to the no kissing before marriage stuff. I actually think it’s fallen out of favor in the last few years amongst even the stricter fundie circles.

I wouldn’t be surprised if it cycled back around in 15 years. But right now, no touch courtships seem to be very rare amongst fundies.

In case y 'all are wondering, Paul Anka is 81 and touring globally like a mofo: Singapore, Bangkok, Macau and Tokyo as well as Florida dates in Naples, Sarasota and Clearwater all upcoming in May.  I thought possibly he's appearing in casinos, but it's mostly performing arts centers.  

So diving a little deeper, supposedly Anka would have sung "My Way" at Trump's inauguration, but he had a scheduling conflict because he was in the midst of a child custody battle over his 11-year-old son.   He didn't necessarily align with Trump.  According to Vulture.com,

When I was a kid, it seemed like every single wedding was on a Saturday and that’s it. Unless it was a holiday like getting married on New Years Eve. Nowadays it seems like there are weddings on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

I have a client who’s 2 son’s both recently got married. One this past Friday & the other one last month also on a Friday.
