Trump 37: Tweeting instead of Leading

Destiny

The video of Trump signing in the wrong spot made me laugh. Things are so bad you have to laugh that the leader of our country is so incompetent he can't even sign shit correctly.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if has dementia. The video of him getting off the plane and wandering about looking confused instead of getting into the car directly in front of him made me really think dementia. I don't think he has ever been super bright, but he is messing up pretty simple things. I wonder if him rarely traveling to non-campaign events might have to do with his handlers trying their best to hide how totally out of it he is.

I just saw this

Quote

President Donald Trump complained Monday about how much the U.S. spends on weapons in an "uncontrollable" arms race with Russia and China, though he vastly overstated how much is spent on actual weapons, even under a budget his administration has increased.

The president said in a tweet that the U.S. has spent $716 billion this year, an amount he called "Crazy!" He said he expects to discuss the issue with Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin.

"I am certain that, at some time in the future, President Xi and I, together with President Putin of Russia, will start talking about a meaningful halt to what has become a major and uncontrollable Arms Race," he said on Twitter.

His statement appeared to confuse the total Defense Department budget with America's investment in the nation's missile defense systems and the strategic nuclear weapons usually associated with the arms race.

Well, now we know what Putin told him to do at the G20 summit. Start eroding America’s military position in the world and handing it over to Russia (and China).

Presiduncial twits of the day (so far)

"... very warm dinner..."

I guess that by the time Happy Meal arrives at the WH it's already cold then.

"... REAL deal with China..."

In other words his current deal is FAKE.

"... I am a Tariff Man..."

Please Rufus, next he'll be wanting a mask and cape.

Wait... I thought he said on Sunday that he had made a deal with China already...

Fascinating twitter thread (unrolled) making the case that many right wing Trump leg-humping entities are subtly but definitely distancing themselves from Trump, courtesy of tweeter mrthejazz @mrthejazz1

(1) OK, so there's weird shit going on. We need to get to bottom of it. I'm making a thread.

(2) I'm going to start by laying the puzzle pieces on the table.  First we have fox news, drudge, WikiLeaks, national enquirer, kimdotcom, Jill Stein, Rudy g, and Brad Parscale all going quiet.

 (3) Next we have the mysterious meeting between McConnell and Murdoch.

(4) Michael Cohen is in DC telling all to Mueller's investigators.  Donald Trump is Client #1, Elliot Broidy is Client #2  Sean Hannity is Client #3

 (5):

  • Lindsey Graham goes quiet on Twitter on Nov 11th. Today, on Rueters, he states he supports Flake and Collins protect Mueller bill.
  • U.S. Senator Graham says supports Mueller bill, urges vote
  • Republican U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham said on Tuesday he supported a bill that would protect Special Counsel Robert Mueller from any politically motivated firings and would urge Senate Majority Lead…https://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-senate-mueller-idUSKCN1NJ02W

(6) One can argue that Lindsey Flake etc are just giving lip service, but why would Lindsey turn roughly a year ago to kissing Trump's ass and only stop kissing it now? The fact is, Lindsey had been vigorously supporting every crappy thing out of Trump's mouth, until today.

(7) Even if it's just lip service, it's a marked change.

(8) Conservative news outlets like fox news have become less propaganda-y also in the last few days. There's still a slant of course, but it's like the crazy and especially the pro Trump rhetoric has dialed back.

(9) Tucker of course had been quiet too due to the "supposed" boycott. The silence is all on Twitter only. But if they were boycotting Twitter, why not post? Why not Target advertisers? Why would entire news outlets stop tweeting over a trumped up allegation?

(10) The common thread here is distance. Every major propagandist is actively trying to create distance from Trump. This still doesn't answer why only Twitter silence. And it's not like previous tweets can't incriminate.

(11) Also, Russian media recently said that Trump failed them.

(12) It's almost like Trump had bribes or blackmail on several of these individuals, and the deal fell through. It's like people in these groups are on the verge of turning on Trump because they're no longer afraid or they're no longer getting paid.

(13) I don't think it's fear of indictment because, if that was the motivation, then they wouldn't just stop tweeting. They'd delete old tweets, and delete Facebook posts and web articles, anything that traces back.

It makes me think Russia and others have abandoned support of Trump and now view him as a lost cause. Keep in mind this all didn't start until a week or so after midterms, so I think something other than midterms triggered this (end)

(14) Just kidding not the end of thread! Today we see Fox News supporting the Jim Acosta lawsuit. I think I'm putting it all together. It all comes back to McConnell. McConnell has always been a career politician with flexible morals. His moves reflect the changing political wind.

(15) Several years ago, he helped spearhead sanctions against Russia, for example. When McConnell saw that Trump was the Republican frontrunner, he knew what kind of man Trump was, and what he would have to do to keep himself enriched and empowered.

(16) Whenever you have a loud, narcissist Napoleon type, you always have a man like Tallyrand pulling the strings in the background. McConnell is that Tallyrand.

(17) So what does McConnell do? He refuses to fight Trump as much as possible, feigning support so that Trump doesn't interfere with his policies and so Trump stacks the courts, only opposing Trump when he goes too far, like trying to give over US intelligence [to] figures [like] Putin.

(18) McConnell gets his rich tax cuts, he gets his gravy train, and Trump gets temporary protection, and lip service. Keep in mind also that McConnell was part of the gang of 12 group that had inside information on Russian interference. He knew Trump was going down a long time [ago].

 (19) Lindsey also has behaved similarly. I wouldn't be surprised if he has spoken with McConnell. Now that midterms have happened, McConnell knows Trump will be held accountable.

(20) He never intended for a dictatorship. He just wanted to use Trump while he was in power. So why hasn't McConnell said anything negative of Trump yet? Because he's savvy. He knows that the most dangerous time for a narcissist in power is when he's nearly put the door

(21) So instead, he's using his influence to subtly pull away power and strip Trump of his influence. His meeting with Murdoch, the silence on Twitter, the taming of the pro Trump rhetoric, all of it fits.

(22) No doubt when Trump is completely declawed and there's no personal risk, then he'll condemn Trump. FYI /pol nerds, this is what ACTUAL 4D chess looks like.

"President Trump traveled 250 yards to greet George W. Bush. He used a stretch limo and an eight-vehicle motorcade to make the trip."

Spoiler

President Trump traversed a wide political chasm Tuesday evening when he personally welcomed George W. Bush, his occasional foil, to Blair House, the presidential guest quarters across Pennsylvania Avenue from the White House.

But the actual distance was just 250 yards — a route Trump and his wife Melania traveled in the presidential parade limousine, with a motorcade of at least seven other vehicles.

The Trumps spent 23 minutes visiting with Bush and his wife, Laura, by all accounts a cordial meeting in which the former president exchanged kisses on the cheek with the current first lady at the curb.

It was the latest in a series of magnanimous gestures that President Trump has made this week to honor the legacy of former president George H.W. Bush, whose state funeral will take place at Washington National Cathedral on Wednesday.

The need for the motorcade, however, prompted questions, and a healthy dose of speculation, about why the Trumps were unable — or unwilling — to simply walk across the street.

“Presidents, including the last one, have made the walk before,” observed Edward Price, who served as National Security Council spokesman in the Obama administration.

“Bone spurs?” asked Sam Vinograd, a CNN political analyst and also a former Obama national security veteran, joking on Twitter about Trump’s explanation about his deferment from the Vietnam War draft.

In an email, Price pointed to President Barack Obama walking Chinese President Xi Jinping from the White House to Blair House after a private dinner during Xi’s state visit in September 2015. He also recalled another occasion, a year earlier, when Obama and White House Chief of Staff Denis McDonough left the White House for a quick trip to a nearby Starbucks, with Obama joking to reporters that “the bear is loose” — a reference to his 2008 campaign when he felt confined by his newfound Secret Service bubble.

“It’s good coffee. The President bought it,” Price recalled McDonough telling him when they returned to the White House.

Trump’s motorcade on Tuesday traveled along West Executive Drive, between the White House and the Eisenhower Executive Office Building. The iron security gates along Pennsylvania Avenue swung open and the presidential limo turned left, stopping a few yards later in front of Blair House, a stately white brick rowhouse with black shutters.

Pennsylvania Avenue and Lafayette Square had been cleared of pedestrians, who usually congregate in front of the White House for pictures or protests, as is custom when foreign leaders or other dignitaries are staying at Blair House.

Presidential motorcades typically encompass more than a dozen vehicles, including Secret Service counterassault teams, medical personnel, White House aides and the press corps. In this case, the pool reporters shadowing Trump’s movements were positioned ahead of time across the street from Blair House and were not in the motorcade, which included at least eight vehicles, according to video footage.

The weather Tuesday was overcast and cold, but there was no rain. President Trump was the only one of the four to wear an overcoat.

White House aides declined to comment when asked why the Trumps chose to take a motorcade.

Obama often employed a full motorcade for short trips, including fundraisers at nearby hotels such as the Jefferson, just a few blocks from the White House. Those trips entailed closing roads in downtown Washington, sometimes during rush hour, thereby snarling evening commutes.

Like his predecessors, Trump also took a motorcade to the recent lighting of the National Christmas Tree, on the Ellipse — though Trump left the press pool behind after his speech when he returned to the White House, with the reporters stranded outside in frigid temperatures, reduced to tweeting their displeasure. (The White House pool of 13 reporters, photographers and videographers has long shadowed the U.S. president to record his movements for history and in case of an emergency.)

According to a pool report, the Bushes did not walk the Trumps back to the curb after the private meeting inside Blair House. Trump walked his wife to her side of the limo and waved to the press corps, but he did not respond to their shouted questions as he reentered the vehicle for the short ride home.

I know I have recently seen a post of different times that Trump has been wandering off. I wonder if they took the motorcade this extremely short distance so that that wouldn't be seen.

Chuck is going to support Fuck Head in 2020

Quote

Grassley said Wednesday he will be supporting Trump.

Grassley, first elected in 1980 and soon to become the Senate's most senior Republican, credits Trump with keeping campaign promises that include signing a tax cut, getting European nations to pay more for their own defense and fighting for improved free trade through his tariff battles with China and other trade partners.

Chuck has his head stuffed so far up Fuck Head's ass (yeah, I know, real pleasant mental image there) that when said Fuck Head yawns Chuck sees daylight.

I so hope we get a hard, pipe hitting liberal to run against Chuck in 2022 but I am going to support any Democrat that runs against him, even if the Democrat is the equivalent of a potted plant.  A potted plant would better serve the people of Iowa and the country than this idiot does.

Fuck Head is considering not having Pence as his running mate in 2020

Quote

President Donald Trump and his advisers are weighing whether Vice President Mike Pence should remain on the 2020 ticket amid concerns about Pence’s viability as a galvanizing force for a president in political turmoil.

“He [Pence] doesn’t detract from it, but he doesn’t add anything either,” says one source with knowledge about the meeting who says that a team of advisers presented Trump with new polling data which indicates, as Vanity Fair put it, that Pence does not “expand Trump’s coalition.”

Another source, this one a veteran of Trump’s 2016 campaign, noted that the president has not spent as much time focusing on re-election in 2020 as he should.

“What he needs to do is consider his team for 2020 and make sure it’s in place,” the adviser said. “He has to have people on his team that are loyal to his agenda.”

Sean Hannity is someone I see as being long overdue for a major comeuppance.  The guy has put way too much negative shit into the universe for things not to come back around and kick him in the ass.

Since he too hired Cohen that comeuppance might be coming soon.

Trump Hannity 2020

And you know he wouldn't give up his TV show.

ETA: Or there won't be an election in 2020 and he won't have a VP.  Just his sons and daughter in fake military uniforms.
