Dec 29th is my birthday too. I do feel sad for them that things turned out this way - going from picking out baby names one day and then suddenly finding out there is no heartbeat at your ultrasound would be very difficult for anyone.

For me, personally, I knew with my second pregnancy that I wanted to tell people much sooner specifically because I wanted support from my friends if I lost the baby. We had some losses between our first and second bio kids, over a 10 year span. After struggling to get pregnant, and the losses, I knew there was no way I could smile and carry on and not have to explain to my friends why I was falling apart. So I told people.

There's no wrong or shameful time to share the news. Miscarriages have been cloaked in secrecy for way too long, anyway.
