I'm not fond of the Shouts and Murmurs section, so generally skip it. Here, the writer is trying to spin the Duggars for the generally sophisticated New Yorker reader, and for some of us who are knowledgeable about the Duggars, it doesn't particularly work as humor. I'll stay with Clown Car.
