What I find most depressing about fundementalism

And I think like most people here, I compare my own life and think about what they're missing, particularly the young women my age. OK, so I have met people in the secular world occasionally who have said "But you're a girl/woman" in response to things they didn't expect me to do. But at least nobody's going to disown/ostracise me for my choices or tastes. Young fundies in general won't know how good it feels to learn the guitar, laugh at a rude comedy like Father Ted or the Young Ones, enjoy a pint, look forward to the next Green Day album, or chant their arse off at a Dropkick Murphys gig. Above all, they'll never know the joy of privacy, controlling your own reproductive choices and not having to worry about pleasing everyone, particularly the opposite sex.
